A college education is crucial to the success of students. Recently, some have started to doubt whether or not college is worth the money. It is absolutely worth the money. Every student should attend college because it leads to more money later in life and it trains students to work with others from all around the world. First of all, students that attend college earn more. “Workers with a professional degree, such as lawyers and physicians, earned about 612 dollars more a week than workers with a bachelor’s degree and over one-thousand dollars more a week than workers who have a high school diploma” (New School Year, Old Story). Parents should want their children to find financial success as they grow older (Gobel). On top of that, “In 2010, the unemployment rate was 9.2 percent for those with only some college and more than ten percent for those with just a highschool degree, but it was 5.4 percent for college graduates” (Rotherham). In other words, going to college leads to higher salaries and lower unemployment rates. Although college costs money to attend at first, it eventually pays off.
