From his savviness to his intellect Christopher Nolan is not only a versionary, but also is a mastermind. Its easy to say that the Dark Knight trilogoy is what put Christopher Nolan out there, but all the work that he gave us before that is nothing short of phenominal. Christopher Nolan is my by far my favorite directors, and one of my favorite parts about his work is how he can avoid cliché endings, and still make leaving the theater wanting more.
Even when Christopher Nolan was just six years old, he would always be using his dads super eight camera to shoot things, and its fair to say he’s been hooked ever since. Before Christopher Nolan made his first short film he gave us doodle bug. Which is a short film about a man trying to kill what

Nolan does not carry a phone on him, nor does he have an e mail address. He says that “you know in New York how people say never stay two feet from a rat, that’s how I am with phones”. He feels like he gets to have more time to think without one. Perhaps the reason he is such a great film maker is because he doesent waste his time on social media. Mr. Nolan is a self-taught film maker who never attended film school. Christopher Nolan attended University college London, where he studied Literature. He did not want to study English, but because he wanted to become a better writer he did. He was also the president of the film society, where he was able to get his hands on …show more content…
This was a great hell of a way to finish off the series. Okay im not going to lie, I came real close to crying when I saw Alfred crying in front of the Wayne family tomb stones at the end. Tom Hardy did a phenomal job in playing Gotham reckoning Bane. Whenever he would appear on screen, it would send chills down the spine of the entire theatre. The way batman leaves gotham was the cherry on top. Batman dies for gotham and wealthy billionare Bruce Wayne finally has what he has been missing most of his life, which is happiness with what we see as catwomen.
Interstellar was Mr. Nolan’s latest film. It was about our protagonist trying to find a new home for humanity. Christopher Nolan actually worked with physicist Kip Thorne to make sure the physics and quantum mechanics of the movie actually made since and was accurate. Christopher Nolan is currently working on a film with Tom Hardy and one direction’s Harry Styles called Dunkirk, which is an operation that saved around three hundred thousand lives during world war 2.Which is sure to be a phenomal
But I do know one thing, Batman was there for us when we needed him the most. He separated us from our darkest nightmares every night. He guarded our houses and protected our families, our friends, and our children. Batman stood up for what he believed, he always had us, the people of Gotham in his best interest. What more could we have asked Batman to do? I could stand up here and say "I never knew the man," but that might not be the truth. During my life, I have known many men, many men who are full of strength, courage, and virtue. Any of these men could have been the Batman and I would have never been aware. However good men still walk among us today, even without Batman. These good men and women are my hope, my consolation for
The Cataracts of Heaven, also known as The Flood, is a powerful archetype which originates from the ancient myth of Noah’s Ark. To put it differently, The Flood represents the archetypical pattern of many apocalyptic variations that consequently leads to the end of Earth and humanity. In illustration, there is one outstanding movie in particular that ultimately exemplifies this archetype, and that is none other than Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. Interstellar is a truly marvellous and emotionally spectacular science-fiction movie about a dystopian future in which a group of astronauts are sent to explore another galaxy through a wormhole located at Saturn in the search for a new home to save humanity from
In doing so, he has established a signature mark. Both his films mix drama and comedy in a way that does not diminish the other. He exaggerates his characters for comedic effect but makes sure that they never crossover into being too slapstick. His films are short, around ninety minutes, and use montages to move quickly through narrative. His films contain both causal and episodic narratives. All his scenes are relatively short so his characters have lots of opportunities for different interactions. And he uses nature to reveal how a character is feeling. The way he tells a story is unique and constantly fascinating. His style and brand of humor is instantly recognizable, whether you 're watching one of his features, shorts, or advertisements. He still has the opportunity for a long career ahead of him and as he moves into more mainstream Hollywood, it will be important to see how he changes. His films may not have won any Oscars, but they have received acclaim in New Zealand and abroad. His effectiveness as a director and writer is impressive and his talent undeniable. Because he has been able to carve out this auteur identity in such a crowded industry, his films are surely worthy of study in the future. At the very least, they 'll always be highly
seeing the film either loving it or hating it because of the changes. Burton was successful
Bruce Wayne, Batman’s secret identity, is an American billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, and owner of Wayne Enterprises. Batman is one of the most well-known and well-liked superheroes of all time probably because of all of the comics, TV shows, movies and video games with him in it. Many are interested in Batman mainly because he is human, has no super powers and no special abilities just like a normal person but continues in many super human things using his gadgets, a body suit and a brilliant mind. Not only are these some of the differences between him and some other super heroes but he wants to see justice served and to defeat his enemies because he focuses on what is right and what is wrong. Batman has starred in about fourteen films both as a starring character and as an ensemble character beginning in 1943 and the latest in 2012 with two more coming in 2016 and 2017. Having earned a total of U.S. $1,900,844,295, the Batman series is the fifth-highest-grossing film series in North America. The first full-length movie of batman made in 1989 shows that to overcome great diversity one must step out of the bounds of what is socially and morally acceptable though the characterization of Batman, the contrast between
"Fifty years later. Citizen Kane is as fresh, as provoking, as entertaining, as funny, as sad and as brilliant as it ever was. Many agree it is the greatest film of all time. Those who differ cannot seem to agree on their candidate."
Mise-en-scene, especially lighting, in both The Prestige and The Dark Knight plays a big role in Nolan's style. In The Prestige, the contrast between the brightly lit stage and the dimly lit backstage show us the reality of Angier's life and his facade. In The Dark Knight, the shadows on The Joker's face when he removes his mask gives The Joker a sense of mystery and confusion.
The third installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy starts eight years after The Dark Knight ends, while Batman is still struggling with the defeat he suffered at the hands of the Joker. Early on in The Dark Knight Rises, it is made clear that Bruce Wayne, the hero whom is better known as Batman, has hung up his cape and turned into a recluse. At a social event at the Wayne mansion, Gotham’s mayor, city commissioner, police chief, and other high profile officials are all seen remembering the anniversary of the death of the false hero Harvey Dent. As they pay tribute to Dent, they discuss how much Gotham’s crime problem has improved. They mention Gotham’s crime rates are at a record low, that the Batman is still being hunted for Dent’s murder, and that the Batman and Bruce Wayne have not been spotted in public for months. However, they see the Batman’s absence as a good thing. They all attribute the success of Gotham’s police force to the wave of action Dent’s death
The highly acclaimed Citizen Kane creates drama and suspense to the viewer. Orson Welles designed this film to enhance the viewer’s opinion about light and darkness, staging, proxemics, personal theme development, and materialism. Creating one of the most astounding films to the cinematography world, Welles conveys many stylistic features as well as fundamentals of cinematography. It is an amazing film and will have an everlasting impact on the world of film.
Sir Alfred Hitchcock is the greatest director there is for intense movies, and he is the master of suspense. It would be extremely hard for someone took take that title from Hitchcock. He has directed over 50 feature films, including maybe the greatest suspenseful horror film of all time. Hitchcock had many influences throughout his life that affected the way he directed and helped him master the art of directing horror films. Sir Alfred Hitchcock is truly amazing and there will never be anyone that could ever compare to him. Hitchcock truly is in a league of his
Director Tim Burton has directed many films. He started out working at Disney, but shortly after he decided to make his own films. He split away from Disney because they wouldn’t let him add the scariness and darkness he has in his films. After he left he created many great films and also developed his own style. He uses many cinematic techniques in his films for example he uses close-up camera angles on symbolic items, he uses music to show foreshadowing, and he uses lighting and color to show mood
Inception remains one of the most complex and deeply engaging narratives of this century. By defying traditional filmmaking, Nolan crafts a stunning cinema masterpiece that plays with the human subconscious. Equally, he provides audiences with the question of whether their reality is true, or perhaps the world they know is a dream. Paralleling the film’s ambiguous ending, the line between reality and the dream world is blurred due to the exceptional strategies Nolan and his team utilize. Mise-en-scéne elements of setting, brilliant cinematography, and profound editing techniques institute the film’s prevailing narrative form and motifs. Many film directors manipulate the concept of fantasy versus reality, but instead of providing a mundane exposition, fantasy becomes the new reality in Inception.
despite him being my favorite director and I just watched it few weeks ago. By watching that film you can see his unique style and the technique he used to shot that film which is amazing.
Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan, was a very complex and interesting sci-fi movie. This movie in particular has a lot of factors playing into the movie. Everyone is able to find their favorite part about the movie, and various people can watch this movie and connect with it. This movie came out in 2014, and shocked millions of people by its intense ending. Interstellar was awarded for best visual effects, and then nominated for many other things including, best original score, best sound mixing, and best sound effects which played a huge role in making the movie. The image and sound complement each other, but I thought that image dominated over sound because there were so many silent moments throughout the movie. I thought the plot
...n (Director) mistakenly seems to believe can carry the whole film. On the strength "based on a true story", he has rejected attention-grabbing characters, an imaginative plot, and unforgettable villains.
