Throughout my life I have had many different contributing factors into my decision to further my education. The biggest influence was going on missions trips with a local church for many years in high school. Being able to have the opportunity to go out into Mississippi and help those children was really what made me want to continue to give back. Furthering my education would give me the chance to enjoy the school work that I am doing because it is for a cause and in the end could have the chance to help so many people's lives around me. In this world we are never shy of people who are struggling with sickness and battering other various illnesses. From cancer to just the plain old flu. As I have participated in various school and community activities, I have been around these people who have had loved ones that have been sick or have been sick themselves and all I want to do is be on their journey with …show more content…
This field spikes my interest in many different ways. The first is getting the chance to be around people and being able to help them and watch as they get the chance to get better. From a young age, I have loved being around people, and enjoyed the chance to love on them. In the last couple years, my father became sick and with everything I had in me, I wanted to be able to help him. I knew that he wouldn’t make it many years and I wished with all of my heart that I could understand what he was going through and fix it. This is what really drove my passion as a nurse. While his health was not what took him to finally be with the Lord, it still drove my passion to become a nurse even more. Never more in my life have I ever wanted to take care of people as I have this past month. To make sure that people around me are taken care of and if can help it, they would not have to lose loved ones. To lastly make sure that at the end of the day I did everything in your power to help save someone life and let them go back to their
After months of unanswered prayers, I decided that I could no longer sit, wait, and hope for her recovery. I had to do something positive; If not for her, than for others in her condition.
While doing my observations, at the outpatient and inpatient settings, I confirmed this is a career suited for my personality and abilities, where you get to teach patients how to recover and start from the beginning, and
My purpose and goals in attending college is to make something of my life. It is a good thing. No one wants to be a nobody. But sometimes it takes time in order for one to realize this. & nbsp; Upon graduation from high school, I, like the majority of others high school graduates, had no clue what direction my life was heading or even what I wanted to become.
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." This is my all-time favorite quote. It is my motivation when the skies around me become cloudy. It is the fuel that feeds my ever-growing hunger to dance. Living by this motto will help me achieve my goal of becoming not just a professional dancer, but also an inspiration to others. My strong extracurricular background provides for a solid base, serving as a great steppingstone as I reach closer and closer to making my dream a reality.
The healthcare field is a perfect field for me to be in. I am passionate about others well-being.
Caring for people is my passion. My senior year of high school is when I witnessed my grandmother live on a ventilator for about a week. It awakened a new level of passion in me to care for people with cardiopulmonary problems. The Respiratory Therapy Care profession has intrigued me with how they improve the quality of life in their patients. I will enjoy working closely with patients in addition to working high tech equipment. By entering into this program and graduating out of this program I know that this will satisfy my personal goals for the next five years in many ways. The continues challenges of trying to figure out what’s wrong the heart that day or what’s wrong with the lung the next day will always keep me on my toes. It will always
I want to go to college for the wholesome intellectual stimulation and to get more involved with my community. College will be my last opportunity to do so before I enter the work force. At college I can be intellectually and academically challenged; I will be able to learn with friends who are as dedicated to learning and the pursuit of knowledge as I am. My goals in college are to acquire the skills that I need to lead a successful and productive life, to expand my knowledge of the world, to step out of my comfort zone, and to become more proactive.
Goyne. Session1.Journal I want to go back to school to finish my Elementary education degree to become a teacher and work with Special Needs Students. I know what it is like for some of the special needs students because I used to be one myself. I have always loved school and it was hard because I did not learn the same way as my classmates. I was always behind and I would ask help from the teacher but they would tell me that they were to busy and come back after school for help.
“A good education is a foundation for a better future.” ~ Elizabeth Warren. The reasoning behind why I want to go to college is to better my future. I am considered one of the first generation in my family to go to college, putting a lot of meaning behind why I believe I should go on to a different path. From a very young age I have always held high expectations of myself, even of the numerous changes in careers I had obtained an interest in. I have always envisioned myself going to college because I certainly value education. I believe that the more education I receive, the more valuable I am to this generation of the work force. Not only does my passion of learning hold place in the reasoning behind why I want to go to college, but because of my role models growing up. My parents both encourage me on a daily basis to go to college, and have encouraged my initiative to seek more in life. My father once explained that he once had this opportunity to receive a free ride to college but decided to stay home and start a family. He of course never looked back or regretted his decision because if not I wouldn 't be here today, but he encouraged me to take on these amazing offers and
Receiving a higher education has been a lifelong goal for me. All my life I wanted a job saving animals, as I got older I knew being a veterinarian is my all-time life objective. Although, I am currently a veterinary technician I need to achieve a higher educational background to completely reach my goal in life. Having a college degree gives me the nostalgia that I long for; being able to say that I’m in college achieving my goals as becoming a veterinarian is gratifying to me. Being a role model to my daughter is also extremely important; having her see that anything is possible if you put your mind to it, she will see that life is difficult and there will be constant road blocks but with determination and hard work success is within reach. After completing college I will be able to get a better job and also receive a better pay check. Going to college for a higher education level is important to many, but not all. For me, going back to college will help me achieve so many of my goals that I have longed for.
My primary reason for going to college is to have a higher chance for a more fulfilling future. I am getting my degree to be able to have a career in something I’m truly interested in, so I can have a job I won’t get tired of attending every day. Working minimum wage with long hours just to pay the rent isn’t the kind of life I look forward too. Just the thought of being successful by doing something I love is enough motivation to continue going to school and pursuing my degree; not many people get to say that they’ve accomplished that. Getting this degree will not only prepare me for my future job, but I will be qualified to get one as soon as I graduate.
I want to be in this field because it not only interest me but it has me working with people and I am a people person. I love to help people, so this is a job that has caught my eye.
I’m a student at Tompkins Cortland Community College this is my first semester as a college student. I plan to go to college for four years and only be at TC3 for this one semester, then transfer to a four year school. College has grown around the world more than ever and more people are attending college more than ever. I have chosen to go to college because of the rewards after graduation. Yes it is another four years of school but by getting more education and an extended degree gives me more opportunities for better jobs and more money. The career I have chosen to study is business administration. I am hoping that it takes me to a great job managing a company or possibly being an accountant.
... out for each patient to make sure they are okay and to do whatever they need to make sure they continue living healthily. I’m very passionate about my future as a nurse and have great intentions towards my education. It won’t be easy and I don’t expect it to be. There’s no looking back for me now. I know I’ve chosen the right profession and I’ll continue to have such enthusiasm about my future. I hope one day, I can fulfill my dreams of becoming a nurse and give back to the community.
He was put into the hospital, and he was in need of blood. A stranger donated blood for him. Thanks to that stranger, he was able to live for a few more days. Those days were the most meaningful days of my life.
