Over the course of my two years and a half at The University at Buffalo, I have overcame challenges,personally, physically, and education wise, that have took a toll on being able to fully be successful academic wise. Although, I do not want to make an excuse for myself because I know obstacles will never be obsolete in this life and to be successful, you must continue even when its easier to give up. A big part of not being successful came from being lost in what I wanted to major in from jumping back and forth between majors, while not really having anything to be focused on and passionate about. I was first referred to pharmacology and toxicology by one of the Biomedical advisors late in the game, and was immediately more interested in it than any other major I had look into. I do plan on retaking Biochemistry 405, Human Physiology 451, and Toxicology 455 and I do also have a plan to retake four prerequisite classes before I graduate to increase my overall GPA. I do not want to graduate knowing that I did not do everything I know I am capable of doing. I want a clean slant this spring semester after a rough fall semester, I have realized the mistakes I made and how I will succeed in this major. I know the grades I have received for the past two years in no way reflect what type of student I am or what I am capable of doing, my transcript from high school proves this. I know I am capable of excelling in this major, and I want to get the chance to prove it. My application is not the most outstanding one in the stack, but if you would please take a chance and review my spring grades I will receive this semester before you make the decision, I know I will prove myself and my growth as a student and be capable of being a part of UB’s department of Pharmacology and
