My educational goals consist of acquiring a bachelor of science degree in finance and accounting that would allow me to work on either corporate financial management or public accounting. Thus, one of my career goals is to become either a CFA or CPA; therefore, I plan to join the W.P. Carey Master of Accountancy Program as soon as I finish my undergraduate studies. I believe that as a CPA I would be serving our society by providing them with accurate and reliable financial information. There is a great responsibility that comes with being a public accountant and I am willing to take it because I love accounting and the financial aspects of business. I would love to give back to my country of Angola, so I want to return to either join in a government position to serve the community or be a professor. I dream of teaching higher education or being a professor and I would like to get a PhD in Economics. I believe that education is an essential way to contribute to a country's development. I remember growing up and seeing some of my friends and classmates having to drop out of school to be able to provide for their family. Many of them had the drive and passion to pursue higher education, however many could not afford it and they had to start working. Therefore, I have a goal to one day go back to Angola and become a professor and to help in any way I can.
I know that all goals and objectives will remain just a dream if I am not committed to finish my higher education and this scholarship would allow me to do so. I am committed to work hard and honor everyone that helped and supported me to get where I am today. I will always push myself an extra step to provide this same support for someone that needs
