The career I chose to look forward into is bartending. I've wanted to do this career since 8th grade. My friend's brother, Ryan, would come home from the bar and tell us stories about what happened to him that day. I don’t plan on being a bartender my whole life, only throughout high school and college years. I'll be 18 in May of my junior year, and I'll want a summer job between my junior and senior year. In the state of Pennsylvania, you are able to become a bartender at 18 years old (Bartending Blueprints). It's very convenient for me and when I want a job. I probably won't have my driver licenses at that time, so I'm limited to my options of job locations. That means I'm most likely not be able to apply to bars in downtown Erie, but in …show more content…
A major quality is communication skills, customer service skills and interpersonal skills. Bartenders are just like waiters and waitress and take orders and talk to customers. Bartenders need to able to talk clearly and fluently to customers, maybe to go in depth with a plate that is in the menu or the ingredients of a drink. Decision making skills is big quality. Bartender should decide if an intoxicated customer had enough of alcohol assumed in their system and then deny their services. They should also decide when it’s the right time to question anyone if they are underage or not. There's also physical qualities a bartender needs to be successful. Bartenders should be able to stand for a long period of time while they are preparing drinks during their shift. They also need physical strength for carrying heavy boxes filled with liquors, beers, and others bar supplies (College …show more content…
There might be people in the back who aren’t interacting with people and checking and refilling supplies if needed. There are workers that are verified as bar backs. Bar backs are like stockers in the bar. The job includes always ensuring there's a supply of liquors in the front for incase of happy hour happens and bartenders run out of liquors. if they running low, bar backs will go to the supply room and resupply the bar with needed material. If it's just a bar atmosphere, bar back buss tables for new customers have a place to sit. Clean and restock glasses from the kitchen. Buy or make ice if running low. Maintain clean water and clean rags for bartender to have to clean the counters and prepping areas. Really good bar backs are always ahead of the bar staffs and doesn’t need to ask for things to be done; because they are already doing it. Bar backs don't interact with customers. They don't make or serve drinks, you may seem them, but they are probably cleaning or restocking. Bar backs have the chance to actually make more money than bartenders. If there are 4 bartenders working that shift, each bartenders chip in some of their tips to the bar backs. If the bar is very busy, more money the bartenders make, more money bar backs will make (Bar and Bartending). I choose this career because is a fun and exciting thing to do. I meet new people and new skills to gain. I knew how this job was going to be prior to the research.
The Healthcare Professional that I chose is a Dental Assistant. The reason why I chose to use a dental assistant as the Healthcare Professional was because I think that they are very important along with the dentists. Without dental assistants, dentist’s jobs would be more stressful than it already is in their job. Dental assistants greatly increase the efficiency of the dentist in the delivery of quality oral health care are valuable members of the dental care team.
Choosing this field is something that has a profound connection with my personal life. Becoming a Diagnostic Medical sonographer would mean that I have accomplished life long dream. Ever since I was a little, I always wanted to be in the medical field. I have always had a big heart and wanted to help people so when I saw the important role that sonographers play in the medical field, it became clear to me that being a sonographer was exactly what I want to do with my life. In 2007 someone who was very important to me passed away due to gastric cancer. When my grandmother, who was a mother, father, and a friend to me, was diagnosed with gastric cancer my world collapsed. It was devastating news, not only for me but also for the whole family.
Throughout this researched that I investigated I became interested in this field in a way. If I had an option in medical field I would take the option. Knowing that you are helping patients out is an amazing feeling. I would work with infants rather than adults. I would cherish every moment because you would never know if that’s the last time to work with the patient not just because of death but maybe cause they might recover from there sickness.
The career I have chosen for my future is to become a registered dental hygienist. It wasn’t until I actually learned what dental hygienists do that influenced my interest from medical to dentistry. The first honest reason I was gravitated to dental hygiene was because of the salary. I didn’t really know what Dental Hygienist actually did until I did some research.
I chose to go into the field of Social Work. The reason being I felt that I was good at helping others. I am helpful by nature and I tend to attract those looking to be helped. I believe my career choice is appropriate for me because I do fill enjoyment when I help others. It is something that I get tired of at times but the end result always lifts my spirits. I have been in the helping field for 20 years and I can’t think of any other career that would work best for me.
There are a lot of reasons why I chose to pursue pharmacy as my career and they all point to the most important reason: pharmacy is a great fit for my life and is something I have become increasingly passionate about. It started when I was researching careers with my parents and my dad suggested pharmacy and, simply put, it sparked my interest because at the time it was one of the few things I thought I would not hate doing. A healthcare career has always been where I put myself in the future, mainly because most of my family members are in the healthcare field. However, I have never been one that could directly help the wounded or deal with anything gory, but am very intrigued by the growing science of pharmacy. As I continue exploring pharmacy, the more I enjoy learning about it and feel like I could excel in this career.
1. Many people have multiple reasons why they want to be able to help others in their everyday jobs. My attraction to being a Speech Language Pathologist is because I want to be able to people overcome their speech problems. As a Speech Language Pathologist I want to be able to help people that have speech problems, overcome this problem and be able to be independent without needing the help of myself or other people that are trying to talk to them. I personally know their feelings and have actually been in their shoes to know how frustrating life can be trying to talk and have someone else talk for you.
I have chosen to become a medical assistant as a platform to enter into the medical field. In my opinion I can fulfill the job description, I know there is a high demand for the position, and there is always room to grow on the pay scale.

I chose to become a dentist as being a child I had to visit a dentist many times for correction of malaligned teeth that i had. So my dentist who was also a specialist in the field of orthodontics inspired me deeply as it gave me a vague idea of how can i also bring smile and self confidence back to an individual by providing him with a competent smile again by incorporating the blend of my hand creativity and mental alertness, same as my dentist did for me thus returning me my self esteem and the confidence to smile again .Thus i found this field very satisfying and fulfilling.
As a bartender, you will be expected to know the ins and outs of the liquors you are handling, as well as the types of glasses your drinks are to be served in. Learning the different types of liquors and what they mix well with can be a daunting task, but one that is mandatory. Some people who come to your bar may want to try something new, or have a question about what mixes well. While you are not required to provide the most elaborate answ...
Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions a person has to make in their life. It is so important because that is what we will have to do to support ourselves throughout life. Imagine being stuck in a dead end job and having to go to work every morning and dreading it. That is no spending oneÕs time and life is too short to work 35 years and be unhappy with it. If a person likes the job they do then it is not work, because finding satisfaction out of a job can bring great happiness. That information has enabled me to make the decision of choosing my area of study and career in the field of Information Technology.
Most people imagine their dream job is to become a famous actor or a job they have seen done many times. Though because of the progression of technology I would be more suited in a field involving computers. My dream job is to become a successful software engineer because I have always been into computer systems, but can I fit this job, is the career life something I can manage and what opportunities should I go after when becoming a software engineer. Each time I notice how a program is used I wonder how can I make it become faster or more efficient. When you are using your cell phone or iPad there is usually an update at every month. This is because apple is improving the speed of your applications. A software engineer is sometimes overlooked, but without software engineer’s applications would either crash or would not improve. Although most people may feel looking at a computer all day and trying to fix it is uninteresting, I find it challenging
In conclusion i find that i would like to go into the job of being a pilot because I feel like I could prosper from the job. I would love to experience the job of flying through the air without a care in the world (other than that of my passengers). I would love to experience the passion of going to new places and learning about different cultures. This is why i would choose to be a pilot.
As one young person was heard to remark, “You can’t get a job without experience, and you can’t get experience without a job.” That dilemma can be overcome, however, by starting work early in life and by accepting simpler jobs that have no minimum age limit and do not require experience. Jobs Teens Can Do Begin early at jobs that may not pay especially well but help to establish a working track record: delivering newspapers, babysitting, mowing lawns, assisting with gardening, and the like. Use these work experiences as springboards for such later jobs as sales clerks, gas station attendant, fast-food worker, lifeguard, playground supervisor assistant, and office staff assistant (after you have developed basic office skills). As you progress through these work exploration experiences, try increasingly to get jobs that have some relationship to your career plans.
