June 7, 2017 is not just a random date on the calendar in fact there is something more to it. This date makes many families proud as well as leave many in disappointment. It marks the date where the hard working and fortunate will be rewarded their high school diploma for all the pain time effort the dedicated to school whether it was studying for midterms, putting a copy of their paper on turnitin.com, or simply getting up on time for school every day. Also there are better paying jobs for those with a college degree. Having a college degree also gives you a better opportunity to find a job when you enter the workforce. Next reason why I want to further my education is because it will help me come closer to my dream job. By attending I will be able to learn all the necessary skill sets I need in order for me to be successful at my career. Furthermore by attending college I can gain the knowledge for my career that others who didn't would not. Another reason why I want to further my education is so I can better the lives of others by bettering myself and my financial situation. By furthering my education I can find a good career and once I start making money I can help take care of ones I love when they need it. In addition to that in the future if I have kids I would like to have a job that can pay for the living expenses so that my kids and I can live comfortably. Also with a well paying jobs I could have the money to enjoy the many different things life has to offer. My purpose and goals in attending college is to make something of my life. It is a good thing. No one wants to be a nobody. But sometimes it takes time in order for one to realize this. & nbsp; Upon graduation from high school, I, like the majority of others high school graduates, had no clue what direction my life was heading or even what I wanted to become.
I want to go to college for the wholesome intellectual stimulation and to get more involved with my community. College will be my last opportunity to do so before I enter the work force. At college I can be intellectually and academically challenged; I will be able to learn with friends who are as dedicated to learning and the pursuit of knowledge as I am. My goals in college are to acquire the skills that I need to lead a successful and productive life, to expand my knowledge of the world, to step out of my comfort zone, and to become more proactive.
The only person in my family that went to college after high school was my grandmother. I do not want to be just another family member to not go to college; I do not want to give up my dreams, because I do not have the education for them. I want to be able to say I did it for me, for my dreams. Going to college is something that has been drilled into my brain by the public education system since I was in first grade. They obviously did a phenomenal job because here I am, a high school senior, applying to various colleges and universities trying to find the right fit. There are many reasons why I want to go to college, but there is one reason above all others, and that is that I want to be able to share my passion of music with others in hopes of sparking a similar passion inside of them.
