Why I Chose Trumpet

I feel in love with music when I was in 5th grade and I was going to be in the band. So I had to pick what instrument I wanted to play. I was in between trombone and trumpet. I chose trumpet because my family knows someone that would give me lessons, so I picked trumpet. The trumpet has changed my life, I have thought about what if I never joined the band or what if I chose trombone instead. I have always wondered, but now I'm glad I chose trumpet.
When I was in 5th grade I was the first 5th grader from elk mound to go to solo and ensemble, and I got a one on my solo that I played, so I didn’t disappoint my school.
Some of my experience is that I am now taking lessons at the University of Eau Claire. I was also invited to take a trumpet studies and theory class at the university. One day I hope to be a teacher and play in the new york symphony. Being in the new york symphony has always been one of my dreams and hope that it won't be a dream much longer. …show more content…

To do this I want to be that best I can be in high school and get as many generals that I can take in high school so it will help me out financially in the future.
I think that my biggest obstacle will be getting an audition with the new york symphony. That will definitely be a very difficult obstacle because it is a very long and complex addition process. You have to travel around the world performing in front of massive amounts of
