Have you ever failed to achieve something because others were stopping you from obtaining success? A man by the name of Henry Ford was able to make his dreams become a reality because he overcame the obstacles that would have stopped him from being a very famous and successful car industrialist and also the founder of Ford Motor Company. This incredible man once said “when everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it”. This wise quote or “aphorism” is basically stating that you can’t let anyone stop you from obtaining your goals or dreams. If people were to apply this aphorism to their life, then not only will they be able to achieve success but also become leaders in society. …show more content…
Before I was introduced to this aphorism I was a wreck I’d always let people ruin my chances to be successful and that almost led me to the path of failure.
Honestly if I was to go back in time I’d change all of my mistakes and make the right decisions which are to block out the people that accounted for my failure. Allowing obstacles to bring you down even though you have the capability to overcome them isn’t the right way to go if you want to be successful. In order to be successful you need to learn who to associate yourself with so you can mainly focus on the goals you want to archive to make you better mentally and physically. Having a better mindset is good for obtaining success because you will be able to think more positively about what you need to do. My freshman year could have gone way better if I applied this method to my life which is why you should apply it to yours. Learn from my mistakes and don’t follow the path I journeyed into as a
freshman. Ever since that year I constantly tell myself “you can do anything you put your mind to” which is why this year I only have a’s and b’s. If you were to apply this to your life things could go the same for you or even better. But just imagine if society puts this method above all others, then the number of dropouts would decrease or either cease to exist. Opportunities would be open to many people and their work ethics would change because if they don’t allow obstacles to get in their way work can go on like a breeze. Success is a guarantee if you just follow this method and don’t let anyone stop your dreams from becoming a reality, then your future could be what you have always wanted it to be. In order to become a leader you need to have courage in order to stand up for what is right. Don’t let anyone knock you down and crush your dreams. You must be open minded to new ideas which could help expand your links between people or even the goals you want to accomplish. Having an open mind can help expand what opportunities may come your way. Take advantage of all those opportunities and you may get a good outcome from seizing it. Henry Ford is a great example of a role model which you could look up to. He has many great quotes that explain obtaining success is by getting through the problems and aiming for your dreams.
Behind every great business these us a great vision from the founder. We all know or should know that the future hold for us. Henry Ford was one of them people that had a great vision for the future. He was for the Americans with average incomes. He a vision to change the way we get around in our everyday lives. Mr. Ford was born on a farm in (birthplace). Where he spent his time indulging into his engineering efforts on the farm by working on ways to work smarter and not harder. Henry Ford did not like working on the farm as he was coming up because he found the work very tedious. His parents put a work bench in the house so Henry could study things such as a watches. He would take something a part such a watch and analyzed the inner moving
Henry Ford was born on July 30, 1863, on a farm near Dearborn, Michigan. His only formal education was through fifth grade at the local schoolhouse, where he took an early interest in tinkering with steam engines. He left his family farm for Detroit at sixteen and became a mechanist apprentice. In 1888 he married Detroit local Clara Ala Bryant, and they had a child named Edsel. Ford briefly returned to farming to support his family. In 1891, Ford returned to Detroit and was hired as an engineer at the Edison Illuminating Company. Several years later, he handcrafted one of his first cars, the Ford Quadricycle. He left his job at the Edison Company to briefly serve as superintendent at his first car company, Detroit Automobile
When asked the question, “If you could meet any American of historical significance who would it be?” For me, I chose Henry Ford. Henry Ford is an iconic American who most people think invented the car, but the car had been invented some time before Ford. Although he did design a brand of car, which is still very much popular today, Henry Ford is famous for using the assembly line to produce his cars much faster and much cheaper than his competitors. A middle-class American could now afford an automobile that was dependable and stylish too. Henry Ford was “an automaker, the man who founded the Automobile Age.” (Brinkley 2003, 523)
Henry Ford was born on July 30 in 1863 in Greenfield Township, Michigan he was one of the first American industrialists and wanted to make a difference in the automobile industry. Back then, before 1908 automobiles were expensive that only rich people could afford. Henry Ford wanted to change this and wanted everyone to have a vehicle to drive. He was able to accomplish this by the assembly line, in which it created more cars in less time. The first car Henry Ford made was the Model T created on the assembly line. Ford’s innovation in manufacturing created less expensive cars and higher wage jobs.
Henry Ford was a genius in many aspects of our everyday life. He changed industry, production, and everybody's lifestyle. Many people know about him inventing some of the first automobiles, but what came out of it for America was a new encouragement for technology and an easier lifestyle for the average American replacing the popular railroad system.
The 1920’s was a time of great social, political, and economic change. The early automobile industry was no exclusion. It appears that throughout history, the figures that stand out the most are either worshipped or despised, and there is very rarely an in-between. Henry Ford, an icon of the 1920’s and the early automobile industry is no exemption. Many people love Ford for his innovative and entrepreneurial skills, while on the other hand, Ford is disliked by many due to his association with Anti-Semitism. Regardless of how Ford is viewed, many decisions he made significantly impacted the automobile industry. These decisions included installing the moving assembly line in his plant, and introducing the Five-Dollar Day. Through the implementation of the Five-Dollar Day, Ford was able to drastically change how the Ford Motor Company company operated, and how business would operate for years to come.
And if it is true that the lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success then I am right. This is where my path to success really begins. It is never late to start again. Small things that aren’t so small can have a big repercussion in someone's life. We as human beings need to learn how to be more loving, respectful and compassionate. I am so proud to be who I am today because of this past experiences. I believe almost everybody has had a time in their lives in which they failed, nobody is perfect. Failure indeed can be fundamental to later success, but the expectations of success are not what people think, at least for me, but I certainly know I'm not
When Henry Ford was born on June 30th, 1863, neither him nor anyone for that matter, knew what an important role he would take in the future of mankind. Ford saw his first car when he was 12. He and his father where riding into Detroit at the time. At that moment, he knew what he wanted to do with his life: he wanted to make a difference in the automobile industry. Through out his life, he achieved this in an extraordinary way. That is why he will always be remembered in everyone’s heart. Whenever you drive down the road in your car, you can thank all of it to Henry Ford. Through his life he accomplished extraordinary achievements such as going from a poor farm boy to a wealthy inventor who helped Thomas Edison. When he was a young man, he figured out how to use simple inventions, such as the light bulb. He then taught himself the design of a steamboat engine. His goal was to build a horse-less carriage. He had come up with several designs and in 1896, he produced his first car, the Model A. When Ford’s first car came out, he had been interviewed by a reporter and when asked about the history of the car, he had said “History is more or less bunk.” Ford worked in Thomas Edison’s factory for years and the left to become an apprentice for a car-producer in Detroit. While working there, he established how he was going to make the car.
To add, if it wasn't for my decisions that I made within the last five years I might not be here where I am today in life. With all my amazing grades, all the organizations I am apart of and all my other accomplishments. The best motto to keep in mind is “the past is the
All of my flaws and failures have contributed towards my learning experience. It has taught me the importance of accountability, work-life balance, and perseverance through hardships. By ending my bachelor academic career with high praise, I have adapted to these conditions and believe in my potential to reach my academic and life goals. I was able to maintain two jobs and succeed in my classes when taking additional courses to prove to myself I am worth a candidate to be in a physical therapy program. My conviction is that failure is more beneficial than success in fostering growth; There is more to learn in one’s mistakes because as you correct them, you improve upon your problem-solving and critical thinking skills. These skills carry more weight than a high GPA in my opinion because not only are they practical, they are translatable across every professional discipline and part of
As well always remember the people that have been there for you since day one because they are the ones who are willing to help you achieve your goals in life. Never give up the opportunities that come your way. There are going to be times in which something may stop you from reaching your goal. But baby girl those are only called obstacles. Obstacles are challenges, in
As I started to look around me and who I was surrounded by, I realized that in my neighborhood I was surrounded by lower middle class and poor people. All of which who did not have motivation or ambition to carry on throughout life themselves, so they settled for what was in front of them instead of reaching for what was above them but was possible to reach with motivation and determination. When I also saw how my family struggled to pay bills, buy toiletries, or even sometimes struggle with buying food that made me check my own reality and come to my senses to know there has to be more to life then struggling. Another factor that motivates me is I never want to relive my past or let my own history repeat itself. I live by this quote to simply remind myself that I can do better than what I came from. I want to achieve success so that my children can have someone who leaves the impression of triumph in their mind. I want my children to realize that there is more to life than the eye meets and I never want them to have to beg or ask for anything the way I did as a child. Furthermore, I also learned about myself in the process of finding my motivation, and I learned that when I am rejected, I am driven to achieve more. The encounter that made me very obsessive over achieving success was when one day I stayed at church later than expected and I was in need of a ride home because my parents were at work. I asked someone to take me home, they agreed at first but then when it was time to go, they asked me if I had a bus card and told me I should get on the bus because they didn’t feel like taking me. At that moment, I picked up my dignity and pride, walked away from the car, went to the bathroom and cried. I cried because that day I realized if you have just enough to barely survive, people won’t really help you as long as they know you’re still living.
A quote by Og Mandino states, failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough. This quote means your determination from your dreams should be strong enough to learn from your failures, your failures should be what will keep you going not what makes you stop. When you want to enact your dreams or goals you must be determined it should be on your mind no matter what. It should be something you want so bad you would never stop un...
Have you ever been beaten down by your own confidence? It is supposed to help you succeed, but instead, it once made me blinded from the fact that I am not perfect. There is always a chance of failure if I don’t try my best. In fact, I did fail getting into my dream high school.
Those obstacles have made me a stronger person than I was before and I am thankful for them. I also have God to thank because without him, I wouldn 't have made it through these past four years. He was with me the entire journey, even in the moments where it seemed like he wasn 't. With college I will further my computer career making more successful in the field I enjoy doing. The gateway to a good future is college and that is why I plan on going to college. College is the most important goal of my life. It is the goal that I mostly focused on throughout my entire career. This year is the most important year of my life: it is the turning point of my life. The way I act, what I do, the classes I take. Everything matters. My future is before me and I am not sure if I can walk the road which I plan. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said "Life is a journey, not a
