A survey says the 16% of the people that took it say yes that they should kill the dogs. But 84% of the people that took it say no that they shouldn't kill they dogs. So would you kill a dog? Would you kill a dog for bitting someone? What if they were protecting someone? Killing dogs because they bite someone isn't right.
The dogs that bite someone can be trained not to do that. They can learn that biting humans isn't right. You can take them to school for doing that. There is no reason that they have to be killed for biting someone. We all make mistakes so why is having a dog bite someone any different. People and dogs and all animals make mistakes all the time. We don't live in a perfect world. So don't expect people to not make mistakes.

If they dog has grown up in a abusive home then its natural for them to bite someone. They are trying to protect themselves from whatever and if biting is the way they do it then let them. They will grow out of it at some point if they are put into a new home and that family cares for them and all that.
They will get better over time they wont always be like that.
Killing dogs should be illegal. The dog that you would be killing has a family and people that love him/her. They are people just like us. They have feelings and emotions.
You have to teach them what they did wrong so they know not to do it anymore. Killing them isn't going to teach them anything. They have to learn. Dogs can be caring and loving you just have to teach them that what they did was wrong. If the human does something to make the dog bite them then they had a right to bite them.
Dogs are loving and caring animals. Biting someone is their way of protecting someone. They don't mean to harm anyone but if they feel threatened by something they are going to protect it. Dogs don't like to be threatened so they have to have a way to protect the things they love like their family. The only reason that they bite anyone
calculation to illustrate limitations of breed-specific legislation and decreasing the risk of dog bite-related injury.” Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association 237.7 (2010): 788-792.

First, it is extremely important that you seek medical attention immediately. As a result of the dog bite, you are susceptible to deadly diseases and serious infection. Second, you should consider seeing a counselor. Being bitten by a dog is a traumatic experience. Often, as a direct result of the trauma of being bitten, a victim might have an irrational fear of animals, suffer from nightmares, or experience other symptoms associated with psychological trauma of being bitten by a dog.
Dogfighting is a “sport” that pits two well trained dogs against each other in a fights until one dog cannot fight anymore. Dogs are often killed at these events, because some dogs are ruthless because their owners have trained them to kill. The fights last, on average, one to two hours, and can leave marks forever. Spectators are able to bet on which dog will win. Currently, dogfighting is a felony offense in all 50 states, and is a federal offense as well. Not only can the instigators of the fights be charged, but all spectators can be charged as well. Dogfighting was brought to the sports world in 2007, when star quarterback Michael Vick was found guilty of having a dogfighting organization and hanging 3 dogs for “not performing well in ‘testing’ sessions”. In 2001, Vick and 3 friends, Purnell Peace, Quanis Phillips, and Tony Taylor started an organization which they called, “Bad Newz Kennel”. Vick also started his NFL career that year, and played for the Atlanta Falcons. When he got convicted in 2007, Vick was sentenced to 21 months in prison and 2 months in home confinement. Dog fighting may injure the dogs forever. For example, Georgia, a pitbull involved in “Bad Newz Kennels”, had her jaw broken at one time during a fight and her tongue is still messed up. Her tail also zigzags, and she has no teeth, they were all pried out of her mouth. Animal Rights would help Georgia and dogs involved in fights all around the country, so they know that they are safe [ALDF]. There are approximately more than 100,00 people in the U.S. involved in dogfighting. That number needs to cut down if the world is going to be a better place for people and animals to grow up in. That is why Animal Rights should occur more heavily in the
Unusual violent behavior can lack of exercise and nutrition. Or a dog's aggression may just simply come from genetics or hormones (“CAUSES OF DOG”). A dog can smell the hormones that human's emotions give off. So if a dog senses that someone is afraid it will try to intimidate that person (“Does My Dog Know”). It is important to stay calm around dogs, especially around the ones who are not familiar with you. Dogs can also sense if someone is afraid through their body language. If a person is moving nervously around
It's crazy how they will put an animal down for not having a home or attacking a human being. Do we give animals a choice in their lives? No, we do not, we just do what we think is best for that animal. Many people fail to realize a lot of things. They always say if it was me, I wouldn’t want that for myself.
Pet monkeys also have a tendency to bite. They have different personalities so one cannot generalize, but some monkeys will be very aggressive, and
Ridgebacks are known to be very strong-willed, intelligent dogs. He is always very alret and he is aware of what is going on around him. Midway through the walk, a fellow resident opened his door only for his Pit Bull to come charging out without a leash on. Both the dog and Chad were not prepared or expecting what was to follow. The Pit Bull immediately charged toward them. Chad’s dog did nothing but stand by him because he had no idea what this dog wanted. Maybe it wanted to play. As soon as the dog reached them, it bit and latched onto his dog’s ear. Soon the owner came running out. For the next two minutes they frantically tried removing the dog by prying open its jaws which did not budge. They had to resort to literally beating the animal by kicking it in the rib cage. Meanwhile, Chad had to make sure the attacking dog did not pull too much on his dog’s ear so that it wouldn’t be ripped off. The whole time he had to endure his dog’s screams, and there was literally nothing they could do to remove the other dog expect to beat it. Finally the dog let go; Chad and his dog charged back to his apartment with his dog gushing blood the whole way. He had to call the police to get the situation documented. Animal control was eventually brought into the equation and the other dog was euthanized. Chad had to take his dog to an emergency animal hospital. The
Hunting accidents often injure or kill horses, cows, dogs, cats, hikers, and other hunters. Some hunters mistreat dogs just as the animals they hunt. Dogs who are used for hunting also suffer. They’re often kept chained or penned and denied routine veterinary care such as vaccines and heartworm medication. Some are lost during hunts and never found, and others who are turned loose at the end of hunting season to fend for themselves often die of starvation or get struck by vehicles. Also like other forms of thrilled violence, hunting leads to desensitization(make less sensitive) to the suffering and pain of others. “ A study conducted by Northeastern University and the Massachusetts SPCA found that people who abuse animals are five times more likely to commit violent crimes against humans. The majority of inmates who are scheduled to be executed for murder at California’s San Quentin State Prison “practiced” their crimes on animals, according to the warden.” So my opinion on hunting is that it’s bad but not everyone thinks like me and or care about animals the way that I
Firstly, there are alternatives to laws that ban breeds like the Pit Bull. Simply neutering a dog has shown that it is 2.6 times less likely to attack. A total of 97% of dogs involved in fatal attacks were not spayed or neutered. Chaining a dog, which you would imagine is safer has been shown to make a dog 2.8 times more prone to bite. Also a little common sense being inforced would help greatly, 84% of dogs involved in fatal attacks were owned by a person who either neglected them, abused them, or allowed them near small children without supervision.
Did you know that your pet could be in danger? There's a vote going around to ban aggressive dog breeds. The reason for this is that people think that some dog breeds are too aggressive, and should be taken away from owners worldwide. But this isn’t true. Studies have shown that no dog is inherently aggressive, and that any dog can be trained to be just as aggressive.
To say that a dog is “aggressive” can mean many different things as well. Aggression includes a range of behaviors that have specific warning signs and can climax into an attack. A dog that displays such signs to people usually exhibits stay away warnings, such as becoming very still and rigid, guttural bark that sounds threatening, lunging forward or charging at the person with no contact, mouthing, as though to move or control the person, without applying significant pressure, a growl, showing teeth, or a quick nip that leaves no mark. More severe gestures are bites ranging from no marks on skin to bruises and puncture wounds, and repeated bites and shaking.
As your Personal Injury Lawyer Whitby will explain, the dog owner should also be unaware of the fact that his/her dog has the propensity to bite. As per the law, if the dog has bitten or attacked someone, then its owner is liable for its actions and would be held to strict liability. The only main exception to this is when the dog is protecting its owner’s property.
Animals are not equal to humans. There are those who will still fight for animal rights, but one might wonder if this issue isn't just an excuse for some twisted person to do bodily harm to another. " Brian Cass.was left with a three-inch head wound after the attack" (Cass).
The ugly truth is that animals are dying at the hands of their owners everyday, some in very violent ways that can be avoided given the right solution. Slaughterhouses, puppy mills, dog fighting, and so on, are just a few examples of how animals are being treated badly by people. Animal cruelty is a form of violence which, unfortunately, sometimes goes hand in hand with child abuse.... ... middle of paper ... ... Also, violence towards animals needs to be included in assessments for child protective services, in order to better prevent animals being placed in dangerous hands.
