Why 18 Year Olds Should Stay In The Military

Would you want your son or daughter in the military at 18 years old or would you want them to be older? For the past 60 years 18 to 20 year olds have been in the military. In 2017, 17% of the military were 18 year olds. The Army has the highest number of 18 year olds. About half of the people in the army are between 18 and 20 years old. The Navy has the second most with 24%. I personally think that it is fine for 18 year olds to be in the military either a man or woman because they can mature faster, they can become more responsible, and they can learn skills to protect their family. Some people say 18 year olds wouldn’t be that responsible enough to use a weapon or not mature enough to pay attention to the sargent. I believe that 18 year olds should have a chance to do what they want.

I think that they should be more mature but when they go in the military they teach you how to be mature and to listen better. I believe that anyone should have a chance in anything so i think that there would be more people in the military if anyone had a chance. Many people say that 18 year olds lack of responsibility so if they were in the military they will teach them more responsibility.
