In the essay “White on Rice: Yellowface in American Media” the asian-american author asserts that people of Asian, Hispanic, Latino, Indian, and Native American, but particularly Asians, ethnicity are not only underrepresented, but down right ostracized in the realm of film and television here in the United States through a process known as Yellowfacing, or the misrepresentation of the Asian ethnicity by predominantly white actors.
