What Worldview Means To Me

What worldview means to me is, what each individual interprets the way of the world through their eyes. Using their religion, ethics, morals and upbringing, to form an opinion of the way that the world should be.
For me is that God is the creator of everything on earth and in the heavens, (Genesis 1:1-31, Colossians 1:16). God made us all out of his own image and likeness, so that we may be able to way in his path, and enter his house when our purpose on earth has been fulfilled (John 14:2). I believe that we are all on this earth to serve a specific purpose and to connect with God so that when it comes time for us to be called home, or pass on. Only god knows what each individual’s purpose and when they have completed it. God will let us

know when it is time to go and be with him (Ecclesiastes 12:13–14). We are given a set of rules ( the ten commandments), we are to follow them and through our love of God get to know and understand what is expected of us as humans , and Christians (John 14:15). There is also the golden rule that should be followed by everyone no matter what their religious following is, Do unto to other as you would have them do unto to you (Matthew 7:12). Before today didn’t know that there was actually a scripture that stated the golden rule. Finally our destiny is what or where we desire to be when our time on earth is up. For most Christians it is to be with God in heaven and live in his house for ever. Most of what is asked of Christians can be summed up in (Matthew 6:9-13), the Lord’s Prayer. It is my hope that I achieve being able to live in God’s house with him, and while I am here on earth I serve his purpose that he has planned for me and study and grow through his love for me.

The way that a Christian/ biblical world view affects the way I think about, treat, and speak to others on a daily, is through the Golden Rule, the Lord’s prayer and the ten commandments. I try to treat others the way that I would want them to treat me, I am not always successful, however I still try. I pray often, mostly just to thank God for giving me another day and that it was a good day. I often think about the many people in this world that have had worse days than mine and I am reminded of how grateful that I had a chance to live my life for the day. I am a positive person, I see the glass as half full, and try to reflect my views when I treat or speak to others weather it is in my community or on the phone or online. I believe it is important that we treat others the way we want to be treated, and not to forget that God is real and he loves each and every one of us, John 3:16 is most important in reminding me of that.
