I believe in the Father, who saved us. I believe in the Son, who suffered and died for us. I believe the Holy Ghost guides us. All of these things make up what is God.
I believe that God is the creator of heaven and earth and everything on it. I believe he sent his only son to die for us. I believe he has the power do great things in my life and in others lives. He is a very gracius God that grants many gifts in our daily life. I believe he gives everlasting life to all who believe in him and praise him. I believe he guides us and leads us to greatness.
I believe that God sent his son to suffer and die on the cross to forgive my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ is real and that he lives. In my life I have had many blessings that have shaped
I believe in God as my savior and that if I follow his word and do not sin that I will gain eternal life and go to heaven. I have a relationship with God try not to sin and if I do I do ask for forgiveness. There are so many things that he does for us that so many people do not get to experience as they do not believe. It opens your eyes when you do experience a “sign” that God is there leading you to do something without even second doubting yourself as you just know it is the right thing to do as there is no other reason for it except one,
So, what do I believe about God, the Bible, and Jesus Christ? I believe that God is the creator of all things great and small, he has a love for his creation like no other, and He is the only, one, true God. Colossians 1:16 ESV says “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.” Also found in the book of Genesis is the step by step details of the creation of the earth and its inhabitance. Genesis 1:1 ESV “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” There are many scriptures in the Bible that speak of God’s love for us. Psalm 86:5 ESV is one of them “For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
This God is the sole origin of reality, creating what is good, and a world of order
Worthington et. al. (2011) says historically, religiousness involved individual and institutional elements; however, now spirituality is thought of as an individual phenomenon and linked with meaningfulness, New Age beliefs, and personal transcendence. Additionally, spirituality is described in personal terms like one’s relationship with God, and as a result, spirituality is more highly regarded than religion. The authors define spirituality as a feeling of closeness and having a relationship or dedication to God or a higher power; this can be a religious experience or a nonreligious one. They state that what one considers sacred is usually related to the awareness of social influences. According to the authors, four types of spirituality have been identified based on closeness to God. First, is religious spirituality. Religious spirituality’s connectedness to God is based on one’s specific denomination and the closeness is specific to the deity identified. Second is humanistic spirituality. Humanistic spirituality involves closeness to humans. This type of spirituality fosters a loving connection with a specific group of people and a sense of selflessness and concern
Religious beliefs effect choices in life and the way we live. Things we might have to gain or give up in order living according to our beliefs and values. Even if we had neither beliefs nor values, we probably would not be who we are today. These two factors can change our lives in both negative and positive ways. Living according to our beliefs and values can change who we are because our beliefs and values effect who we are. Does our religious beliefs and values change who we really are if so what price do we pay throughout this process.
Worldview is how you view the world around you and your place in it. Obviously a worldview is shaped and expanded over the course of a lifetime by many different influences. It is important to really examine your worldview and support it using many viewpoints. This paper will be made up of three parts all incorporating my worldview. In the first part I will explain my worldview in detail. In the second part I will be comparing my worldview to another. Finally, in the third part I will use my worldview to support my stance on an ethical dilemma of abortion.
What do I believe to be true? I believe that God exists and that he is the creator of everything that exists. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, John 1:1” (NIV). This is biblical proof that God exists. The verse that explains that God has always existed is, “Revelation 22:13, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End” (NIV). God has been alive forever, since before my start and before the start of everything I know. God is the originator of creation itself. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, Genesis 1:1” (NIV). God created the heavens, earth, animals, humans and everything else that exists in six days and rested on the seventh day as stated in the Bible. “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:26” (NIV). God created me and takes care of me day by day, and provides for all my needs.
God can be defined as a being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe, the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions (1). There are many people that do not believe in any religion. People who do not believe in a religion have no reason for believing in a God. People who do not believe in a God and argue against the existence of God are proving something that is completely false. There is a God for numerous reasons.
One reason that I identify myself with one God is because I believe that He is the reason this world exists. For example, in the story, Noah’s God was angry how people were being unrighteous on the earth, so He made the flood to destroy every living being and regret creating them (Genesis 6:11). This shows that God created human beings and His will must be done on the earth. Another reason I believe God is the only one true God is because he performed miracles to show his great power to those who didn’t believe in him. In the flood story, God spoke to Noah, warning him that there will be a great flood that will destroy every living being.
Jesus Christ was the light that came to earth to brighten the lives of the people. He taught phenomenal and meaningful lessons that changed many hearts and caused people to accept Jesus as their Lord. Jesus Christ is the life of Christianity; the Word of God in flesh. His life, his ministry, and his crucifixion where prophesied long before he was born and Christians believe that they were all fulfilled. He had so much love for human kind that he came to earth to die for the sins of the people, so that their souls would be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The Bible testifies that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who taught memorable life lessons and performed astonishing miracles during his ministry.
"Who Is God To Me" God means many different things to many different people. There are a lot of people who believe that there is no such thing as a God. There are people who believe that there is no God because no one has ever seen him. I personally believe that there is a God because of my faith. I have faith in God and I feel that God is real. I have many reasons why I believe in God and who God is to me. But I have three reasons that stand out for me about who God is to me. They are the following: God is always there for me, God is my friend, and God is my creator. These are my three most important reasons of who God is and what God means to me. God has never let me down in my life. Sometimes I feel that God has let me down or that He did not answer my prayers in times that I most needed Him. But I have to realize that everything that God does is for a reason. God has taken a few friends of mine from this Earth at a very young age. I have prayed to God and asked Him why? But I have never seemed to fully understand why. I have come to the conclusion that God works in mysterious ways. I do not think that anyone can fully understand why God does what He does. So for this, I do not feel that God has ever let me down. He just does these things for a reason and if you believe in Him, He will never let you down either. God is the longest lasting friend I have ever had in my life. He was there for me before I was born and He will be there for me after I leave this Earth. God is the best listener also. I can talk to God anywhere at anytime. Every time I want to talk to Him or ask Him a question, He is there for me. Most of my other friends are at least a phone call away, but not God. He has always been there in time of need, even though sometimes I feel like He is not. Even when I do something wrong, He is there to forgive me and set me straight.
“Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot live without a spiritual life.” According to Buddha, everyone needs some form of spirituality to define his or her life and existence. Webster Dictionary defines spiritualism as “a system of beliefs or religious practices based on supposed communication with the spirits of the dead, often times through mediums.” Though this is one general definition of spiritualism, this concept is one that does not hold a conclusive meaning. Each and every single person has the ability and right to create and practice their own idea of spiritualism. From ancient times to present day, the term and practice of spirituality has transformed, particularly from region to region. Despite the discrepancies in practices and overall understanding of this idea, spirituality has had an effect and impact upon all of humanity since the creation of time. This religion that is believed to have been established in the early eighteen hundreds, after two little girls claimed to have the ability to talk to spirits, sparked interest in this spiritual movement, allowing it to spread rather rapidly over many geographical locations. Aside from being recognized as a religion, spiritualism is also believed to be a form of philosophy and a science in which spiritualists believe that there is life after death and try to demonstrate this through the ability of attempting to communicate with those that have passed on. Spiritualism was socially different from other religions in existence at the time because it presented followers with a more tolerant belief system that assimilated the principles and facts from a selection the world's religions. Spiritualism also made it acceptable for women to play a disti...
The definition of religion is the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods(Merriam-Webster). After this semester I have come to realize that religion is a much more advanced, complicated, and personal definition. Religion can’t be defined in one word or one term because there is a lot that religion entails. There really is no concrete answer of what religion is and the definition varies among different groups of people and individuals.
I believe Jesus died for our sins. Christianity to me is more of a relationship with God rather than just a religious practice. The bible to me is God last words and teachings in a matter of faith and practice.
Spirituality can have many different definitions, depending on who is asked. It can be something as simple as looking for a higher meaning to life, or something so complex that one can base their beliefs, religion and overall life around it. There are several different ways to express one's spirituality; rituals, songs, dances, stories, and writings are all common methods of expression.
