What Role Does Genetics Play In Child Development

Genetics play an important role in development as far as I have experienced. An early experience, which contributed in my development, would be education and my culture. School has always been an immense part of my life for development. Teachers and classmates played a major role for good educational experiences. They helped me to enhance and learn academic abilities. Also, culture contributes in child growth and the person they eventually become. My parents played an active role shaping my cultural and spiritual life by providing me a continuous opportunity to interact with my peers and adults of all ages who share same religious belief and who can act as cultural role models. I practiced same customs and belief, which made me feel a sense of belonging and pride for the community.
As a child, my developmental experience was substantial through the observation of family behavior. I learnt practices by participating in traditional festivals; holidays where I get to wear traditional dresses and enjoy specific food. Also, when I was a kid, I enjoyed making craft

Healthy food choices aren’t that eye appealing. When I was a child, I used to follow peers path. TV commercials for junk food seemed to be impossible to avoid. For my parents, it was always difficult to convince my elder brother and me that an apple is as sweet as a chocolate chip cookie. In other words, an apple a day keeps a doctor away. Moreover, my parents ensured our diet in nutritious ways like motivating us to eat more fruit and vegetables rather than sodas and potato/tortillas chips. When I grew little older, I was given education about well-balanced nutritious foods, which help us to live a long and healthy life.
