What is a true friendship?
Every person needs a friend - a person spiritialy close to you, someone with whom you would like to spend time. A friend is a person who will support you in sorrow and in joy, who will always try to help and give you advise.
One of the basic human needs is communication. Communicating with who you can trust, who always understand and support, on whom you can rely on in any situation. This is the exact definition of a good friend - a sincere, faithful and honest person. In our big world it is hard to find such a friend. But it is even more difficult to not lose him because of some small things, not betray the relationship with him. A real friend is the one with whom you passed both joy and sorrow and still stayed together.
But do all of us know how to be a real friend? And in general what is true friendship? It so happens that two people are constantly talking, spending a lot of time together, but one of them might be trouble or just happy, and then it seems as if there was no strong friendship. Some of the people are scared by the troubles of their frie...
To be a friend has almost certainly become a role of infinite definition. Agreeing with author Joyce Xinran, after reading her article, “Friending: The Changing Definition of Friendship in the Social Media Era,” the modern idea of a friend has changed in its meaning of intimacy. People have considered no boundaries when allowing one the position of associate. The act of being mildly pleasant will promote even a stranger to the status of friend. To solve this issue people must realize that receiving a simple electronic request to be a friend is hardly mastering the technique of camaraderie.
By definition a friend is a person who provides assistance and support. We have different groups of friends for different purposes in our lives. Although there are many different categories of friends, Marion Winik author of “What are Friends For?” mentions that some of the more common groups consist of the faraway, work, family, and former friends (132). We keep our friends because we value their loyalty, communication, support, and dependability.
When making friends, you must choose the right ones by observing the person's qualities and how they behave. If the person behaves in a bad way, further away this person may lead you down the wrong path and get you into a lot of trouble. Incommensurate, If the person behaves in a good way, then they may be a good friend to have and lead you down the right path. Consequently, friendship is a very good thing to have with many positive and sadly, negative
I would define friendship as complete trust and love between two people. Many people believe that this kind of behavior is reciprocated between two individuals without any expectations. A friend is someone who also provides you with support and whom you can rely on to celebrate special moments with. A friend also comes with many great attributes; such as loyalty, honesty, compassion, trust, and morality. Today’s friend is viewed as someone who shares happiness, common values, history, and equality with another. For example, Aristotle and Cicero both wrote dialogues about friendship and its significance on mankind. Therefore, the key issues that will be discussed are: their views on the similarities of friendship, the differences between friends,
Someone to talk to too, someone who listens, understands, and can connect to you. This is a friend. Friendship is the source of happiness and can change a bad day into a good one at any given moment. Although many people don’t have any form of friendship at all. In fact many feel very unhappy because they are lonely.
What is your definition of a true friend? Well, to me, a true friend is someone who understands you, accepts you for who you are, and is willing to do anything for you. While reading John Steinbeck’s classic, Of Mice and Men, George and Lennie maintain a true friendship despite all the ups and downs they encounter. After Lennie Small, a man as gigantic as a mammoth with a pea-sized brain, is caught touching a girl’s dress in the town of Weed, he and his best friend, an average migrant worker, George Milton, travel a strenuous journey to the town of Soledad and start working on a ranch. The young men come to realize that they have a true, brotherly bond and nothing can separate them.
“The silver friend knows your present and the gold friend knows all of your past dirt and glories. Once in a blue moon there is someone who knows it all, someone who knows and accepts you unconditionally, someone who is there for life.” This is a quote I read once in an article by Jill McCorkle. I wrote it down and posted on my wall. McCorkle’s description of a “gold friend” describes a friendship that I have with a group of girls who mean the world to me.
Friendship is an interpersonal relationship between two people that is mutually productive and can be characterized by mutual positive regard. Friendship should enhance the potential of each person involved and should only be productive. You must like each other in order to call it a friendship, and
There are many valuable things in life like family, sports, school but what about friendship? To live life without friendship is something no one should ever go through. Friendship is a necessity to living a successful life. Friendship occurs when someone is a supporter, gives assistance, and is attached to someone all the while genuinely taking care of them when they are hurt (The definition of friend, 1995-2002). A good and healthy friendship can be defined fro individuals as when someone has his or her own support system, a friend being loyal, and will always have genuine and mutual trust.
Friendship is the most wonderful relationship that anyone can have. Ideally a friend is a person who offers love and respect and will never leave or betray us. Friends can tell harsh truths when they must be told. There are four different types of friends: True friends, Convenient friends, Special interest friends, and historical friends. To have friendship is to have comfort. In times of crisis and depression, a friend is there to calm us and to help lift up our spirits.
Although relationships with parents determine in large measure our longer-term preferences, attitudes and values, during adolescence it is often relationships with friends that cause most concern and which pre-occupy the thoughts of young people as they grow up.
Like Rock and Roll, true friendship will never die. True friendship withstands the test of time. It can be compared to a good song; I can listen to it over and over but never get tired of hearing it, and I can pause it, and pick up right where I left off. There is only one person in this entire world who I will never get tired of listening to or who I can go weeks without seeing and feel as if nothing has changed, and her name is Sara. We have known each other since kindergarten, and have been best friends since eighth grade. Why only eighth grade if I have known her since kindergarten? Well, because, as _________ states, “not all friendships are the same” (Citation). Most of my friendships
Friendship is one of the most important things you can get out of life. It’s something that everyone has to have because without it, we would all go insane. Just think if no one talked to each other and we never made friends, this world would be a ticking time bomb. Studies say humans need friendships and love to survive. So friendship is a big part of your life.
A friend is someone difficult to find. A friend is someone you can always count on when times are tough. The dictionary's definition of a good friend is a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard. A good friend is there when you are struggling. For example, when a boy breaks your heart a good friend walks you through it and offers a shoulder to cry on. According to Bree Neff, a good friend is someone who is trustworthy, doesn't talk behind your back, listens to your problems, gives good advice and tries to lend humor along with his or her support. There are also bad friends, those who pretend to care and then turn around gossiping and starting drama. Good and bad friends are all around you, involved in your everyday life. To find good friends you should look for such traits as being kind, trustworthy, loyal and dependable.
Have you ever had that one special friend that you knew would be there for you through thick and thin? That special friend, who can read your thoughts, finish your sentences, and make you smile when you are feeling blue. A friend is someone who is honest and you can trust. A friend is someone who you hang out with, and someone you rely on. Friendship is being there for someone when they need you. That person for me is my best friend Katrina. She is the kindest, sweetest person I have ever known. She will do anything for anyone.
