Specific Purpose: make my audience aspire to be more computer literate.

Introduction
(Attention Getter) Who here believes they know about computers? Well I am sure that with only the exception of a select few in this building most of you could not even tell me what processor is inside your computer, much less be able to repair your computer after a small virus attack.
(Central Idea (Introduce topic and relate it to your audience)) It’s okay, well, no: it is not. You are computer illiterates whom for your lack of knowledge get tricked into buying an expensive items and or services at two to three times its actual value. For example apple products that offer nothing special but a brand, and extended warranties. While not all extended warranties are bad the majority are just a shameless way to obtain your money.

Being computer illiterate can affect your job and credibility as a professional.
A. People believe that they can go through life with little to no computer skills. This is impossible. Even cash registers are computers, and unless you plan on flipping burgers for the rest of your life, you will sooner or later come into contact with a computer.
