My Chromebook is dead and I don't havve the charger. I left it at my dad's house when I left for school this morning. I don't have any way to check my grades, do my online homework, or look anything up on the internet. Without Chromebooks, students are completely disconnected from school. That's why the Chesterfeild County Public School Boardshould continue letting us have our Chromebooks. Chromebooks help students with their responsibility, they're eco-friendly, and they're efficient. The first reason that the School board should continue the Chromebook program is because it gives the students more responsibility. Chromebooks help students practice responsibility because they have to be charged every night, students have to be careful
A student was sitting in class and a teacher said Everyone get your chromebooks out. The student opened their chromebook and it wouldn’t turn on. The student raised their hand and said My chromebook is uncharged. The teacher told the student oh well you have to work and watch from another student's chromebook. Having students do this can be a problem because students then can’t work at their own pace and usually don’t work as well because their not hands on and in front of them to focus on. If a student's chromebook isn’t charged or unuseable they should be able to get their charger from their locker and be able to charge their chromebook. When students have their chromebooks right infront, 67% of students say that they are more focused and may have a better education based off of learning of their chromebook. So if students say this and the school rules don’t allow students to use their chargers during school, they may not be able to focus as well
The lesson is situated in the fourth week, and is the eleventh and second last lesson in the unit outline.

After shoving all the books, folders, binders, workbooks, pencil bags, a backpack, a coat, and addition items into the locker, barely any room remains. This usually resorts in the demolishing of expensive textbooks by students which is highly wasteful. This is one prime reason chromebooks were seeked out by school districts and welcomed by so many. The chromebook is lightweight, usually weighing approximately 3 pounds, is very slim in size, and is generally eleven to twelve inches in length (Chromebooks and Education: A Perfect Match). One may conclude the chromebook is merely another pricey item to place in a student’s locker, but the chromebook actually allows for students to have online textbooks, email, additional Apps, and a Google Docs. These features may seem miniscule, but to users the chromebook combines all the necessities into one small device. All of the tools that could be found in a student’s locker can be found on the chromebook which makes life a lot easier for students to transport and organize. This feature makes the chromebook desired by many including the school because less money is spent purchasing new textbooks for students, and by the students because instead of having to lug around textbooks, folders, and binders from classroom to classroom, only a chromebook is
Should the Chesterfield County Public School Board take away the students’ most valuable learning tool, Chromebooks? The School Board should continue the Chromebook Program. Chromebooks are more convenient, has more learning resources, and let students connect with other students and teachers.
My mission is to use my degree in Curriculum Instruction with Instructional Technology with my classroom. In doing so I am committed to being consistent, agile, reliable, and accessible to all. I want to continue to teach through technology while encouraging creative and critical thinking. While using chromebooks in the classroom the students will be able to complete online assignments that will be assigned throughout the year. For the students that need extra help they will be able to work on individual assignments. The programs that I am using this year are Prodigy and Mobymax. Prodigy allows students to play and learn math to strengthen skills that they are lacking. Mobymax allows the students to see how they are progressing in all subject

The exploration of space is a noble pursuit in the confines of bringing us forward as a species. To reach ends of the cosmos that our ancestors could only dream of, if they even knew such cosmos even existed at the time. However, there are many predicaments that need to be settled if we are to take this giant leap into potentially expanding our world to that of Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, etc. These come down to the unification of our nations to meet this goal, the measures we should take to restrain ourselves from the harvesting of all the resources we can find, and the obvious technological need to get us there. However, out of these major walls in the way of our grand venture how we choose to harness such a power is our most important concern.
Persuasion is a part of our everyday life. Whether we are persuading our mother, using persuasion through speech, or through advertisements, we are using rhetoric strategies to get the response we desire. With the help of minor details in many advertisements, Ethos, Logos, and Pathos are a way of persuading the audience to buy or think a certain way. A Colgate toothbrush commercial used Logos, Pathos and Ethos to spread the word that they have the best toothbrush of all, in which they target everyone who has teeth. Through the use of advertisements, Colgate has convinced the world that they have the best toothbrushes, they’re even recommended by dentists.
Can you see yourself without a cell phone today? This world has become so technologically dependent that it is hard for anyone to not use a cell phone, a computer, or some sort of device at least once during the day. Since technology has come so far, better education should be possible. Cell phones are a way of communication and can make people feel safe, so it is hard to believe that most schools ban them. It is time for schools to see that technology is the future and it is growing rapidly, along with educational and safety features.
The iPhone has often been called a "revolutionary" device - and it certainly is - but it is even more so a webolutionary one. The iPhone is the first mobile phone, the first mobile device even, to give users a real internet experience that is enjoyable and easy to use. The keywords here are "easy to use" and "enjoyable". Other phones and devices have access to the internet but are awkward, clunky, and almost nothing like getting online with a desktop or notebook system.
Paper has officially been replaced with iPads. Just kidding, but there are over 1.5 million iPads that are being used in classrooms by students on a daily bases rather than using printed textbooks as main learning resources (Graduating With Technology). With recent advancements in technology, many school districts have turned the focus off traditional learning methods of using textbooks, and are now focusing on integrating the use of tablets and computers as the main means of learning for students. Technology is going to continue to advance throughout this digital age and is going to gain popularity within education, but there are questions arising of how effective technology is when used in the classroom. The opportunity of using new technology to enhance learning should be seized, but textbooks should not become extinct within the education system or become a secondary learning method due to tablets and other types of technology becoming more popular in the education system. Textbooks are reliable, they can be used by anyone, and there are enough textbooks for each student to have their own, and be able to take them home. Also, technology is impacting the way the brain receives information. Reading digital print isn't as productive for readers as printed text, and there is limited access to resources needed for tablets to be effective when used by students. While this is true there are benefits to using tablets and other forms of technology in the classroom. It is easier for teachers to have assignments emailed directly to them, or post assignments on the internet, the use of technology is required in many core classes, and textbooks are easily worn, and expensive.
