The iPhone has often been called a "revolutionary" device - and it certainly is - but it is even more so a webolutionary one. The iPhone is the first mobile phone, the first mobile device even, to give users a real internet experience that is enjoyable and easy to use. The keywords here are "easy to use" and "enjoyable". Other phones and devices have access to the internet but are awkward, clunky, and almost nothing like getting online with a desktop or notebook system.
But this is old news. What does it mean for you and me, and how can we take advantage of this moving trend to a mobile web?
With the iPhone users can access the web anytime and anywhere. Not a watered-down, limited version built by your mobile carrier, or one restricted to content that is scaled down to fit the screen of a mobile device, but the real web. Mobile is the first order priority device for access because people are connecting with others, finding entertainment, and doing business—all with smart phones. The prices of mobile phones are never over $1,000 in today’s world. They are affordable and accessible. As the result of the changes the worldwide and national business environment has undergone, people own 1-2 cell phones on average. However, the mobile markets in US seems to have been saturated.
For most people, not having a cell phone is unimaginable and without one we feel disconnected from the world. The leading device that helps us survive and navigate through this current hi-tech world is the Apple iPhone.
