Civil Engineering is all about problem solving, you are always looking to figure out a puzzle or trying to enhance a certain concept or a technique to help you remove ambiguities and come up with smart and innovative solutions, and that what makes it exciting and challenging. Civil Engineering has a peerless impact on the quality of people’s lives; it’s directly associated with human civilization aspects. Pursuing a Master Degree in civil engineering is something necessary to me in order to extend my knowledge and develop my skills gained in previous study and work experience and to engage with worldwide professionals in the field of civil engineering, and more importantly to achieve my dream of making sustainable green structures. I love using engineering principles to understand the natural world, and since I’m addicted to analysis and modeling I always try to analyze everyday activities to enhance my understanding of (how does that thing work?). I believe it is amazing to understand what is really going on inside a certain concrete member or to realize the structural behavior of a complicated structure, and I do find it adorable when it comes to FEM approaches and modeling using BIM techniques. I’m quite sure that nearly non-hazardous structures are the kind of structures where one’s work and output can be seen and felt directly by the senses and anything done stays to the credit. Structural engineers have the opportunity to shape and manipulate the world we live in. Bringing green sustainable structures is one of the best practices to harness the natural resources and to make this planet Green. When we go for modern bridges, high rise buildings or ultra-modern condominiums; structural engineering will form the center stage of engineering development. I have worked diligently these past five years in the college to enhance my understanding of these subjects, and have greatly enjoyed the
My strong belief of being part of your esteemed university will open up newer avenues in structural engineering solutions to explore and gives one a wider range of knowledge to contribute remarkably in preventing or reducing natural hazards damage in our community and to bring infrastructures and memorable landmarks besides disseminating the culture of sustainable construction in developing societies. With the knowledge and experience I can find in Germany, I believe I can use it as a guidance to achieve my goals in my graduate study and then my professional career. If I successfully obtained the master degree; I will have the ability and knowledge to contribute significantly to construct a modern sustainable infrastructures which makes the people’s lives easier and safer away from hazards, bringing structural solutions which can help Sudan and developing nations to overcome natural hazards effect, share the knowledge and teach college students since it is quite important for me to deliver the knowledge and experience to graduates and junior engineers to lessen the gap between theoretical aspects and practical ones, and to apply what I’ve learned to improve scientific research in Sudan. I own a strong desire to develop our surroundings and improve the everyday lives of people. The community would not be able to function as it does without the work of dedicated and creative structural engineers. The structures
