The verb “ordered” is very strong in the original Hebrew. It means to establish something so that it has a strong foundation. Proverbs 16:9 tells us that “in his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.” Most of us know that God “directs” our steps Proverbs 3:6. But this verb is even stronger. God not only “directs” our steps, he also “determines” or “orders” or “ordains” our steps. This includes our going out and our coming in, our lying down and our getting up, our waking and our sleeping, our buying and our selling, our talking and our listening, and our walking and our driving. Because he is God, there are no accidents with him. Nothing ever happens to the child of God by luck, chance or fate. No circumstance—whether …show more content…
First of all, if we want the Lord to order our steps, we must have faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.”
2. Second, if we want our steps to be ordered by the Lord, we must be in prayer daily.
Luke 18:1 says that “men should always pray and not faint.” I Thessalonians 5:17 says that to “pray without ceasing.” In Jeremiah 33:3, the LORD says, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee and show you great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
3. Third if we want our steps ordered by the Lord, we must believe, read, study, meditate and obey the Word of God. Psalm 119:133 says, “Order my steps in thy word, and let not any iniquity have dominion over

Fourth, if we want the Lord to order our steps, we must be led and filled with the Holy Ghost. Romans 8:14 says, “For as many are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Ephesians 5:18 says, “Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit.”
Order my steps, in Your word” (in whatever I do today, from doing laundry or dishes, to ordering homeschool books or answering the phone, encouraging, praising and disciplining the children, may I be always mindful of You each step of the way.)
“Order my tongue, in Your word” (by rejoicing always, singing Your praises, sharing You with my children & others, and being mindful to not have a sharp or gossiping tongue)
“Guide my feet, in Your word” (in not always running with life, but stopping my feet, to listen for You, listen to my husband and children, and being still to remember, You are God.)
“Wash my heart, in Your word” (being mindful, I fail, and Your mercies are new every morning, and You cleanse me from all unrighteousness, as Your Word renews me)
“Show me how to walk, in Your word” (just as my children, I am still teachable, learning and growing as I follow You)
“Show me how to talk, in Your word.” (Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight” Psalm
continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” (Acts 6:2-3) Therefore, the disciples
Wolters has strong opinion about structure and direction in the Bible. He states in the book that structure “refers to the order of creation, the natural creation of God” (pp. 59). Direction is a relationship toward or away from God that is, directed either in obedience or disobedience to his law.” (pp. 59).
E.M. Bounds wrote a wonderful book devoted to prayer entitled Power Through Prayer. This book encourages the preacher to become a true prayer warrior. E.M. Bounds has written many books on prayer, encouraging Christians to devote their life to prayer. Since the writer is coming from a preacher background himself, one can clearly see the passion he has for prayer in his life. Fellow preachers will hopefully be encouraged by this and want to devote their life to prayer, so that they will better their preaching. Bounds exemplifies through his work that preaching has no power without prayer. He also sets forth the idea that prayer is the life-giving force behind our work for God. In reading this book, it inspires one to pray more and be able to be more effective in their ministry.
2 And no be conformed to this world: but be ye transferred by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
In Cry, the Beloved Country, Alan Paton uses Stephen Kumalo and James Jarvis as examples of humanity’s tendency to be complacent about critical issues until a momentous event occurs which forces them to confront the issues. This message is very clear in Cry, the Beloved Country as it is in our society. People tend to ignore serious issues rather than confront and solve them. Historical examples like the Holocaust greatly illustrate this point. Stephen Kumalo is complacent in his village of Ndotesheni and only realizes the extent of the destruction of the tribal structure after he returns from Johannesburg. James Jarvis is also complacent about the condition of the native people; he chooses to ignore the native question rather than discuss it. By characterizing Jarvis and Kumalo in this way, Paton makes a very important statement: human beings must not wait for a tragic event to occur to confront a critical issue.
“The primary influence in a kingdom woman’s life is God. His voice is the loudest. He is the one she seeks to please.” Now reading this book I have learned not to try and please everyone. It says not to try to please everyone but to push harder and harder each day to please our Gods Kingdom destiny or you is to view yourself as a superwoman who has to do it all own her own. When your day comes to stand before God he want just ask you how much you have done for him but how excellent it was. Did you give God all of your leftovers or did you give you all? Did you have so much to do in your day that you forgot to thank him for letting you wake up and have that day? How far did you go in your day without God or did you walk with him all day to make your day easier? So many questions to be ask but only you can decided your faith and you relationship with God. Don’t just praise him on Sunday then go back to our shellfish ways but praise him throughout every day and love him every second of your day. “God wants you to raise a higher standard. He desires excellence in all you do.” Excellence is our aim as a Kingdom
As we search the word of God with passion and earnestly, the Holy Spirit will illuminate us, so we can grasp his will in our life “until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” (Eph. 4:13).
In preceding verse, God told Joshua to observe all written according to the law of Moses, and with courage, he'll prosper where ever he goes. 4. GOD'S WORD IS A SUBSTANCE FOR OUR CONSOLATION Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
This guide outlines how I pray this prayer daily. Employ what works for you and individualize the guide to make it yours. I don’t promise my prayer guide will alleviate all your prayer concerns, but give it a try; when I prayer the Lord’s Prayer my life is richer for the effort. By "praying always" we are exhorted to the daily, constant exercise of prayer; by "praying with perseverance," we are pressed to bear up against discouragements, as to any particular request we may make at the throne of grace, and not to give over, though we have not a speedy answer to it. So that the former is opposed to a neglect of the duty in its stated seasons, and the latter to a fainting in our spirits, as to any particular suit we put
All we need do is trust in him when that time arises. We also sometimes think we are ready and God knows that we are not. There is a difference in knowing and doing. In order to have a closer walk with God we must do both. We must read and study the Word, and then we must apply the Word to our lives.
God’s authority reigns over all. Too often people put their ideas and minds on pedestals. We subconsciously make ourselves as Gods and idols when we believe we know what’s best or what we want to happen is best for us. But the true fact of the matter is God knows what’s best. When something happens, it’s the exact way God has allowed it to happen.
One asks, how can it be said that a word is God’s, lest it be spoken by God himself. It is important that proclaimers understand that it is God who is in action and not ourselves. Many times, so-called preachers approach the sacred desk and begin to proclaim words of themselves that are not inspired by God. Preaching that is done for oneself is flat and meaningless. It is only with God that any divine activity is possible.
...st always pray to God with such great and deep belief that everything we ask for, He will give to us and we will receive, of course if it is reasonable. Putting every single ounce of faith and belief that we have installed in our mind, body, and soul into God is the state we should always pray in. Making your requests to God specific and making them known to Him is absolutely crucial.
, and what does God command us to pray for? What we should be asking ourselves before we come to God in prayer. Prayer is a very important action for all of us as Christians. We should know why we pray and why it is important. We should also know that prayer cant just come from our mouths, but from our hearts as well.
