Spring -- a season of hope and joy. In many countries, such as Japan, they see it as human life; something so precious to others. The transition from the cold and harsh winter into the warm and blooming spring is gorgeous and allows the mind to calm and to restart. This sense of freedom, a sense of starting over; it welcomes the human life. It is as if you ran miles and miles, only to become exhausted and to never meet your goal. The water, though, is refreshing as you drink it. The crisp and light water runs down your throat and you feel it. You feel free and better -- no longer dreading anything. Imagine, though, this is taken away. You're stripped of your title of 'human'. You are now an animal, a simple mammal on the Earth, walking along …show more content…

When thinking about the actions of certain people -- murder or theft -- you think about how they would be put in jail. How long would it be, when will they get out, etc etc. People often ignore their rights, though, even though it states that they are innocent until proven (with evidence) that they are guilty. However, on the side of ignoring their rights, they have stripped away the humans life. They have stripped away something so precious (if murder) and have taken away the many rights the person had the life to experience. People believe that, maybe, just maybe, they should ignore the rights of this murderer or this thief, because they have taken something from another person. According to ‘This I Believe’, they state: “For instance when people lose a loved one they detach themselves from the world in which causes them to get more miserable and lonely,” “Various people harm their own bodies because of the loneliness they feel when someone dear to them dies. For example individuals start cutting their wrist because they prefer physical pain to forget about the emotional pain.” When people feel these things, they believe the rights should be taken away, because that murderer took a piece of their heart away. However, people can move on from this emotional impact and will find a better path from this emotional trauma. Some learn to accept it, some don’t.
