There are many differences from the book and the movie. Like one of them was Turtle wexler was with Flora not Chris Theodorakis. Grace Wexler didn’t treat her kids fairly on what one was her favorite, in the movie she does. Angela originally marrys Denton Deere not Ed Plum. Angela planted the first bomb not Sandy Mcsouthers. George Wexler wasn’t playing the westing game in the movie. That’s just some of the differences with just the Wexler family. The movie had a ton of differences just with one character Sydelle Pulaski. Sydelle Pulaski wasn’t a mistake like she was in the book. She personally knew Sam Westing just never got to see him. Sydelle had her dog with her everywhere she would go. Sydelle knew Angela was the bomber before Turtle
With both the movie and the book there were similarities and differences involving the names of the characters. Justice Wargrave was known as Author Cannon in the movie. Also, Vera Claythorne was Ann Clyde. Another difference is Philip Lombard was Charles Morman in the movie. However, there were some similar names, Mr. Blores’ name continued to stay the same as well as Dr. Armstrong.

There were many differences in the characters' relationships with each other. For instance, Heather and Melinda’s connection were very different from book to film.
Some of the characters in the novel, like Lennie, are portrayed differently in the movie. In the novel, Lennie is said to be “a huge man” (2), but in the movie he isn’t very big, although he is bigger than George and some of the other characters. In the movie he is stronger and bigger than the others, but not to the extreme amount that the book portrays him to be. Also, Lennie is depicted as very mentally challenged, which is shown by the way he speaks. Whereas in the book, Lennie is said to have a mind of a young child instead of being disabled. As well as Lennie, Curley’s wife is represented a little bit differently. In the movie,...
I have only included what I have to believe are largely important plot gaps and differences in the movie version in comparison to the book one, and so I apologize again if I have missed any other major ones. Forgive me, please.
Between the book and movie, no changes were made that affected the plot of the story. The first difference was that, in the book, Radar is obsessed with Omnictionary, which is like Wikipedia. He’s constantly on it fixing web pages that people have messed with. In the movie, Omnictionary
Of the many changes made between the book and the movie, most were made to keep the audience interested in the story. Most people who watch TV don’t have a long attention span. Executives at NBC didn’t want to spend millions to produce a movie and then have nobody watch it. The screenwriters had to throw in some clever plot twists to keep people interested. Another reason the movie was different from the book was the material in the book was a little too racy for network TV. Take the ending, for example, nobody wants to see a grown man hang himself. This was a reason the producers had to change some material in the movie.
One thing that can make a book good is characters. In the book, there were many more animals in the farm. The movie did not show many animals except for the main animals. Even thought this is a small difference, it can be noticeable. In the book, Mollie was a character.
There are many similarities and differences that can characterize the movie and the book as different or similar. The movie provides a lot of differences to separate the movie from the book. There are some similarities to that really make the book and the movie similar too. I liked the book better because the book expresses Charlie’s thoughts and his development better.
Although the book ha more detail, the movie stayed true to the most important parts in the book. The movie was compacted
In the book Dally is described as having white/blond hair and blue eyes but in the movie he has brown hair and brown eyes. Some more differences are you don't get to know the characters as well because, you aren't getting to hear what Ponyboy is thinking. In the book the Soces are from the west side and the Greasers are from the East side of town, but in the movie the Soces are from the south and the Greasers are from the north side of town. One more difference is in the book Darry slapped Ponyboy causing him to run away with Johnny but in the movie Darry pushes Ponyboy.
The characterization between the the novel and movie were alike; yet very different. In the novel, I imagined the characters wearing different clothes, I imaged them wearing dirtier, more raggedy clothing, because it was a old and worn down town. Also, being able to see the characters in the movie, provides a different perspective the reader doesn't get from the novel. I feel that Scout is a more developed character in the novel. She is used as the narrator, thus the stories in the novel are all based
In the movie, Uriah died by not telling the truth under the truth serum, but in the book, Uriah was with Tris and Tobias until they escaped the compound and went over the wall ,and eventually killed by Eric in the fringe. This death is vital to the story because Uriah helped get Tris and Tobias out of the compound by killing a lot of soldiers, if he wasn’t there then Tris and Tobias probably wouldn’t have made it, meaning the story would have ended in the first 10-15 chapters. Another difference that is major to the book Allegiant is found at the end of the book when David dies from the burst of fumes that were “supposed” to help the “Genetically Damaged.” This is an important difference because in the movie David was spying on them all the way back to the Dauntless compound and figures of the secrets of Dauntless. In the book, David died and Tris and Tobias both found the true reason why David was capturing all the kids. Lastly, the biggest difference in Allegiant is that in the book Tobias and Tris break up with each other, but in the movie they were still together till the end of the movie. This is the biggest difference for readers because throughout this trilogy Tris and Tobias had been together for the longest time. These are just few examples of how the book and the movie are
