From the beginning of the painting history until these days there is no doubt that the world holds a huge number of creative artists. Every artwork is inspired and created with love, dedication, passion and labor. Artists usually express themselves expressing feelings into painting. Wayne White is an American artist who loves to use old paintings to create a three dimensional style. One of his new piece is title Golden surf Rossi, he called this art “the Seventies”. The painting is currently being exhibited at the Gallery of Southwestern State College. It is around 40 by 22 inches; it is engraved in wood frame with gold color trim

this piece is made in acrylic on linen. The painting Golden Surf Rossi by Wayne White is a representation of strong sea waves and an interesting Storm of random thoughts. The colors in the painting are brilliant and obscure appealing to the eye. This piece seems to all fit together well, from the sunset in the back and the storm of figures on the front.

The purpose of this art is to Show people the significant impact on how art can make a valid change in an individual’s perspective.

Wayne, transforms this painting into a three dimensional abstract piece of art. The focal point of the painting are the figures that look like letters and numbers that are in the front of the piece of art. This is where your eyes expend more time, also sometimes forgiving the background. The way the artist is trying to present this piece is showing happiness, excitement, and dreams. Happiness because he transmits with the bright colours. After probably 15 minutes on front of the painting I can feel that the artist tries to show his happiness, but in serene calm. The excitement that he presents with the letters, numbers and figures is a signal that he feels anxious about what the future is going to bring. Also in the way that the colors in the background are present he is showing that no matter how dark our day can be always will be light to

follow.

Wayne White used the bright white colour at the middle of the painting to elude the power of the mother nature and how the winds flow over the ocean’s creating a strong wave, showing how strong the ocean can be to change almost everything that we create. In the background The orange sun was mingling with the dark red color of the sky and produced a vast contrast of different colors. The waves of the sea also seemed to changed their color to a dull mixture of grey and white. The contrast created between the dark waters and the luminous front of the paint makes the horizon look like a meeting of two worlds I interpreted this part like the known and the unknown.

In the other hand, related with what we already see in class this is different in some points.

In the Florence and the early renaissance, we have the greatest master of art like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Sandro Botticelli and others. In this period of time the painters almost never show their emotions or feelings, they were more focused on indulging the churches and the wealthy people. In The renaissance period the art provides the work of art with ideal, intangible qualities, giving it a beauty and significance greater and more permanent than that actually found in the modern art. Florence and the early renaissance, the art become very valued where every artist was trying to create art forms consistent with the appearance of the beauty or elegance in a natural perspective. However, Renaissance art seems to focus more on the human as an individual, while Wayne White art takes a broader picture with no humans whatsoever; Wayne, modern three dimensional arts often utilizes a style of painting more abstract than Renaissance art. At this point in the semester these two aspects of abstract painting and the early renaissance artwork have significant roles in the paintings. Wayne White brings unrealistic concepts that provoke a new theme of art, but nevertheless the artistic creations of the piece of art during early renaissance still represent the highest of attainment in the history of

art.

Finally, many of the greatest artists of the early renaissance had desire to imitate and revive the history of the Christian bible and the beauty of people around them in their daily lives. However, Wayne White artwork is based on the illusion of painted objects as solid, flexile things and asserts an intuitive interpretation of the world around them
