Walt Disney Paper Did you know that Walt Disney didn’t start off big? “His first business was just made of him, his brother, and his friend but the company ended up failing and Disney ended up falling to the bottom in his opinion by taking a job of making cartoons to be watched before and after a movie was over” (Walt Disney). Walt Disney was a great man who overcame failure, made animated shows and movies and became a great business man. He would be hubble after losing his business and dropping to where he sees as the the bottom of being a cartoon artist “Their business soon failed, though, and Disney took a job with an ad service that made cartoon advertisements to be shown between movies at the local theater” (Walt Disney). The failure of him going to the bottom in his mind would change in the 1930’s when he ended up becoming one of the best movie makers of the 1930’s. “Then half his artists went on strike against him, protesting his dictatorial style. “During the 1950s, Disney joined with American Broadcasting Company (ABC) TV productions and made a fortune producing Davy Crockett and The Mickey Mouse Club for television exclusively. By the time of his death, Disney had more than 280 television shows to his name” (Walt Disney). Even though he felt like Tv was the enemy of the movie business before he died he had over 250+ Tv shows to his name which is very impressive for a man who thought tv as the enemy of movies. “The Disney Channel was launched in 1983. In 1996, Disney purchased the ABC television network and acquired the ESPN sports network through the acquisition” (Disney). It’s interesting that the company Disney bought the tv station that around thirty years ago the owner of Disney had started making shows on it and even going to make a channel that was called Disney
