Walter The name Disney is known to everyone, old and young. Walter Elias Disney is the reason for that. He is a very influential person to american history, for he is the person that transformed animation and they way we watch television now. He was a person who had a deep passion for animations and cartoons. That 's not all he was, Disney had an interesting life story just like the rest of us, he had critics and many obstacles, but he overcame them and was able to place a huge impact on America. As a young child Disney had many interests mainly in the arts. He went from drawing to animation to acting. He kept learning new things and ended up being very successful when he combined all three of those things. He had people not like his stuff, steal his films, and had the majority of his workers protest and quit. All of these things would of been good reasons for him to stop, but of course Disney did not for he was obsessed with being the best. The reason he started doing his animation was to make people laugh and enjoy themselves. Even during The Great Depression he succeeded in making people enjoy themselves once in awhile. Walt Disney was born in 1890 to a woman named Seora Isabelle Zamora. His father, Elias, met Isabelle in California that same year and the two carried on an affair that ended with the birth of Walt. Later, Elias brought the two back to Chicago, Illinois where Isabelle became a housekeeper for the Disney family. Walt was assimilated into the Disney household and treated as the biological son of Elias and Flora Disney. Isabelle was with the family for years, being passed on from the Elias and Flora household to the Walt and Lillian family years later (Eliot 152-157).
