Investopedia defines a free enterprise as an economic system where few restrictions are placed on business activities and ownership, and the government generally has minimal intervention and ownership of enterprises in the market place. One of the many successful entrepreneurs well-known in America and around the world was Walter Elias "Walt" Disney. He was the creator of Mickey Mouse and founder of Disneyland and Walt Disney World among other things. As one can see, the free enterprise system helped Walter Disney to leave a tremendous impact on entertainment industry and the popular culture of the twentieth century which continue to capture the imaginations and dreams of people worldwide.

Moreover, he created Silly Symphonies, Mickey's newly created friends including Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto, all of which remain well-known in the popular culture and entertainment industry. Walt Disney premiered Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first full-length animated film and produced an unimaginable $1.499 million, in spite of the Depression. This shows the impact of Walt Disney's entertainment to people who badly needed diversion from the hardships of life. In free enterprise, an entrepreneur like Walt Disney has a free reign to start business without fear of excessive government regulation. As long as he has enough determination and business savvy, in a perfect world, he should be able to find a niche for his business (Henderson). However, it may not be so for others from disadvantaged background. They may not get the same breaks or loans that the fortunate ones receive, but it should not be a reason for people to stop
