I woke up one morning to the sound of someone walking downstairs. I get up and walk downstairs to get some breakfast. I hear dog outside barking from two miles away. I smile and pour myself some milk. I wake up my little brother, and he just groaned. I walk back into the kitchen and finish up my breakfast. Then, I place my dirty dishes into the sink, and I walk upstairs into my room, and change into my clothes. I finish up and walk outside with my backpack, and wait for the bus. I hear it coming as it approaches a minute later. I get onto the bus, and head off to school. Ever since I was young, I have always had a bigger sense of sound. Most of the time, it can help if something is coming up behind me, or if someone is making fun of me. I …show more content…
We talk until we arrive to the main hallway, where we all split up. When I reach my locker, I take off my backpack and unload my books into my locker. In the background, I hear someone talking about me. They said something about how my friends are stupid. I turned around, and tried to find the source. Once I matched up the voice, I walked up to her with my books for first hour, and said “ My friends are smarter than you’ll ever be.” Smirking, I turn around, and continue going to my class. I sit down in the back of the class, and put in my earbuds and begin to draw. The bell rings, and we all stand up to say the pledge of allegiance. I sit back down and place my earbuds back in my ear, continuing the drawing. The teacher walked in, and I looked up and smiled. Midway in the class, he said that the people who don’t listen to me will get a detention. He came up behind me, tapped my shoulder, and asked for me to repeat what he had said. Simply, I repeated his exact words, smiling, as I place my earbuds back in. He just walked back up to the front of the class, and said “alrighty then.” After the class finished, I closed my drawing book, and stood up to leave. The teacher stopped me right before I exited, and asked me what my drawing was. I opened my book, and there was a sketch of a dog barking at something. “Interesting,” he says in response to the drawing. “Thanks” I reply as I walk out of the …show more content…
I pull out an apple and start on that, as we talk about what happened this morning, when a group of girls had said that my friends were stupid. After the lunch bell rings, everyone stands up and goes to their next class. I walk in my art class, which is the last hour, and sit down in the back of the class. I start sketching in my sketchbook, as the teacher walked around to see what we were drawing. She had stopped when she came around to me, and smiled. “You have talent” The teacher had said right before the bell had rung. Once I stepped out of the class, I was sucked out of the class by a wave of people. I instantly cover my ears, because of all the screaming. I open my locker, and pack my stuff, and go to the bus. As I get on, the bus driver says hello, so I replied the same way. The entire ride home, I was listening to music, on the lowest setting, which is normal for me. When we arrive to my stop, I stand up, put on my backpack, and exit the bus. Once I open the door, I walk up to my room, and begin my homework. Finally finishing it, I take a shower, put on my pajamas, brush my teeth and hair, and them finally go to
It was a nice sunny day as my grandma and I were sitting on the back porch on a brown and black rocking chair going back and forth like birds flying north to south over and over again. We were reading a book called “Goldilocks And The Three Bears”. While we were reading I could picture the big, medium, and little brown bear sitting in there bright sunny kitchen while mama bear was making porridge. My grandma and I were laughing and giggling like a little baby getting tickled non stop. Although I was laughing at the book I think she was laughing because I was laughing. I could smell the bright big yellow and blue flowers blooming, and the rain just from the other day. I could also hear the birds chirping in the background. Ever since then
I have been patiently waiting for my first day of school and it's finally here. I walk through the doors and see all of the kids. All with their own incongruities. Some kids are big, some are small, some are clean, and some are dirty. I finally get to my classroom and my teacher, Miss Caroline Fisher, looks at me with a stern look. I could tell then I was excited to be in school for nothing, but I knew that when she found out how smart I am she'd like me. As class went on I found out that I was wrong.
It was the middle of the night when my mother got a phone call. The car ride was silent, my father had a blank stare and my mother was silently crying. I had no idea where we were headed but I knew this empty feeling in my stomach would not go away. Walking through the long bright hallways, passing through an endless amount of doors, we had finally arrived. As we
It was late I thought. Almost midnight yet I was still unable to sleep. I stared thoughtlessly at the moving shadows mumbling to myself, "it was just a story" but in my heart I knew it wasn't, it was more than a story, much, much more. Then, a crow appeared in the middle of my room. The crow stared at me with such intensity that I fell backwards into the safety of my pillow. I stared at the crow in shock as it disappeared into my closet and that's when I heard it, a long piercing whine that was like a nail to a chalkboard. I prayed that it would go away, I prayed with all my heart but it stayed there continuing its long whine. It was then when I caught a glimpse of it. I saw two glowing bloodshot eyes stare at me. I let out a scream born from terror and almost immediately my dad came bursting into my room. He stared at me with confusion but all I could do was point a shaking finger at my closet door. Cautiously, my father marched into the closet door only to find nothing inside. Then, without warning, the closet door slammed shut along with my father still inside.
i didn 't feel like my myself as the weeks went by. i noticed a change, as in how they both acted whenever i was around. at anytime i would enter the classroom for music and one of them would be leaving i would put my head down. also, if i spotted them at lunch, they would roll their eyes and laugh. i noticed my attitude towards them changing because of it. i would wonder why things ended up so badly. it was as if this time i was a completely different person. the day came that my mom spoke to me and said, “dwelling on a situation won 't make anything better, what you have to do is move on” .ever since that day, it made me realize that my biggest mistake was letting friendship get to me. it impacted me so much, to the point where my attitude changed completely and the way i was acting towards others changed. i noticed that i wouldn’t smile as much as i used to, or even talk that much. in fact, i tried so hard to avoid several because i didn’t want to believe things had changed. nonetheless, the day came where something finally snapped and made me realize that i had to move on from the
I am awoken to the sound of tree branches hitting the window and a faint ringing in the distance. I slowly get out of bed worried about what is happening beyond my door. I grab my flashlight and quickly head downstairs. I immediately run into the kitchen yelling for someone, but no one answers. I frantically look outside and see the trees swaying and the night sky turning into swirling clusters of clouds. I quickly run into my younger brother’s room and see him shakily holding onto his bed post with tears streaming down his face.
The day begins, but it didn't begin as usual. Finally about 10 o'clock in the morning, I went down stairs. Everybody was awake by that time. They were busy in their work. Nobody had time to hear me. I saw a couple of guests sitting our drawing room so I went back upstairs again. In a few minutes, the intercom in my room rang and I heard my mom tell me to get ready to go to the temple. I took a bath and dressed up like a pretty Californian girl. When I get downstairs, everybody was ready to g...

I woke up at eight in the morning, being that it was May and spring was in the air I knew that my day would be perfect. As I leaped out of my warm and comfortable bed to put on my Bullwinkle slippers, my stomach nerves began to tighten. I figured it was just a small bellyache and I would get over it soon. I walked slowly to the bathroom not really realizing that the house was not filled with sunshine as it usually is during these beautiful spring days. As I began to brush my teeth my eyes caught a glimpse of the window that I now noticed was so close to the mirror. I could have died when I noticed that the rain was coming down like a storm. It was at that moment that I ran to mother’s room to tell her that I couldn’t go driving today. My whole body was tense, I knew this was a sign for me to stay home, I was scared and would never be able to drive in the horrible storm. I don’t know how, but she convinced me to just try, “It’s just a driving test,” is what she continued to repeat, “if you fail, your not ready.” I knew she wanted me to fail anyway.
It was the dead of winter, My brother and My father had a brilliant idea while sledding. The so called Devil hill at Dubuque Senior High school was the hill I happen to break my leg on, One of the reason's why is because I listen to my brother about how safe it was. I shouldn’t have listen to him or even the idea in general, I made my brother go down first nothing happen to him oh no nothing happens to him, As he is climbing the hill to come back up he says "See now you go down", I Respond "I'm not going down and he wasn’t going to even try and push me". The only reason why I didn’t want to be pushed was because at the bottom of the hill there was a ramp that a snow plow had banked you on to the hill, the ramp was small but still I was scared.
I woke up at six in the morning, the sunlight peaked through the blinds in my room. I wanted to roll over and fall back to sleep after slapping my alarm off even though I wanted to get to the jail as soon as possible. I finally forced myself awake; as soon as my feet touched the cold tile I got goose bumps. I shuffled over to the thermostat to turn the heat on then walked into the bathroom. While brushing my teeth I
HE STARED at me, not apologetically. "You're not the girl I planned on . . . " "Ick leeb dick?" I finished mockingly. He smirked, wind disrraying his messy hair.
My name Hazel I am moving to a new school and I was scared to make new friends because I misses her new friends. I didn’t want to move from her school in hawaii. I was moving to Big sur because my dad had a interview to replace the director. When we got to Big sur we got settled in to our new home. One week after we got to Big sur I was getting ready to go to her new school . I had my clothes all set out for the new life I was in for. I set my alarm for 7 o’clock in the morning. I went to bed early that night I was very excited to see the new world but also, very sad.
It was finally the first day of school; I was excited yet nervous. I hoped I would be able to make new friends. The first time I saw the schools name I thought it was the strangest name I’ve ever heard or read, therefore I found it hard to pronounce it in the beginning. The schools’ floors had painted black paw prints, which stood out on the white tiled floor. Once you walk through the doors the office is to the right. The office seemed a bit cramped, since it had so many rooms in such a small area. In the office I meet with a really nice, sweet secretary who helped me register into the school, giving me a small tour of the school, also helping me find
With pages of notes in my desk’s cabinet, I could easily pull them out slightly to copy and silently slide each page back, smoothly and safely under a few books. If I act carefully, it would be impossible for my teacher to know. The rain has stopped. Light shined through the windows as the sky was bright again. My heart was racing as our teacher approached the classroom. I felt like sailing across the sea, with a storm approaching, having no choice but to battle and get through it, knowing I could sink anytime. As the warm, freshly printed papers were being passed out, I was constantly assuring myself that my plan was perfect and that nothing would go wrong. The clock ticked by as I was writing down my answer, word by word exactly like what I wrote as notes. The room seemed oddly quiet, so quiet I could clearly hear the sound of little birds outside chirping, of pens being clicked many times, and of pages of a novel being flipped on the teacher’s desk. I was certain for a moment that the sound I made while handling my notes caught her attention. I quickly glanced up at her, however, she remained idle. I was half way passed the test until my worst nightmare came true. There was a sound of chair being moved and high heels clicking on the floor. I quickly hid my notes as the clicking sound came closer and closer then suddenly stopped. A hand gently lifted up the books in my desk, slowly pulling out several sheets of paper that was my notes. My entire body was frozen, I could only hear my heart beating loudly and clearly, nothing else. Not a word was left as she walked away. All of a sudden I could hear again, the sound of whispers all around me, of pens clicking again, and of the clock ticking
