It was a nice sunny day as my grandma and I were sitting on the back porch on a brown and black rocking chair going back and forth like birds flying north to south over and over again. We were reading a book called “Goldilocks And The Three Bears”. While we were reading I could picture the big, medium, and little brown bear sitting in there bright sunny kitchen while mama bear was making porridge. My grandma and I were laughing and giggling like a little baby getting tickled non stop. Although I was laughing at the book I think she was laughing because I was laughing. I could smell the bright big yellow and blue flowers blooming, and the rain just from the other day. I could also hear the birds chirping in the background. Ever since then
In Mark Haddon’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime and Robert Southey’s “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”, Christopher Boone and Goldilocks make imperfect choices but they lack certain skills. Christopher is 15 years old and was diagnosed with Autism at a young age. His brain runs like a timeline which can confuse him sometimes. He also does not have most social skills, he has no fear in some extremely dangerous situations and he has a difficult time controlling his emotions and natural instincts. Goldilocks is a little girl who can be discourteous with no sympathy but she is growing up in both her age and maturity with her experiences. The theme of
Hello. I am Daniel Gardner. My story today sets back a few years ago in a car. I look out the window from the back seat to see a beautiful blue sky with pearly white clouds scattered across the sky like dice. The sun glows across the sky like a beacon of hope. It reflects off of the sand as if it is beaming off of glass. The luscious variety of green grass with the bountiful palm trees sway softly with the breeze. The light turns green and we start to fly past it all as if time speeds up. we pull into the driveway to see not a beach house. But a mansion. We walk in and see the decor of the house as if angels have come through and done it themselves. We were finally on vacation.
I felt something in my pocket, no it couldn I walked outside and it was almost time for the marriage ceremony, I felt so happy that the situation was dealt with and I wanted to see my wife in her beautiful dress more than I wanted another glass of water. I felt a presence outside and then saw sheep, it was the sheep I gave The King of Salem, I could tell because of that face of wanting more food and water. I just felt as if the wedding was a path full of smooth stones with pointy, cracked rocks at the end. Maybe it was not.
My first signature theme was discipline and it means that I need to have everything together all the time. I need order and stability in my life that I created in order to be happy and feel safe. Others can come to find my need for order annoying and this may be because they do not understand my need for predictability. My next signature theme was competition and it means that I thrive when it comes to winning or achieving something better than others. If I don’t outperform someone that I may feel hollow and that I am weaker than that person. It means that I need to compare things that I do to others. My third theme was included and it is having a large group of people of friends in your life because you want to make sure everyone is included. It means that I am very accepting of others no matter what race, gender, religion or other barriers that may arise. The fourth theme I had was an activator and it is an indicator that I believe that action is required to get things done. It means that I need to get things done in an instant and that if
Everybody has heard of the fairy tale ”Goldilocks and the Three Bears” as a child. And if you haven’t, the story tells about a young girl with golden hair who enters the home of a family of bears. After eating all the bears porridge, the young girl exclaims one was “too hot”, one was “too cold”, and one finally “just right”. Then the young girl moves onto the beds of all the bears, exclaiming that one is “too hard”, one is “too soft”, and one is “just right”. Finally, the bears return to their home, and find Goldilock still sleeping in their beds. You see, after trying both extremes, Goldilock settled for the “just right” choice. Parenting is the same way. Striving for that “just right” parenting style can be easily done through the three most important factors in parenting: support, freedom, and discipline.
Children's story analysis: Goldi Locks And The Three Bears What would you do if a stranger broke into your house and broke all of your belongings? Well, that is what happened in this childhood story Goldie Locks and the Three Bears, in the woods a young girl with golden hair broke into the three bears' home and began to break and ruin the three bears' belongings because she was on a mission to find the just right spot. But even for a children's story, it was able to betray good themes and morals, and I'm going to talk about how the book was able to betray this through its writing. During this story, Goldie's character development is not great, but maybe that's a good thing. The Prindle Institute for Ethics states, “The second philosophical discussion surrounds
I wake up from a long night's sleep, it's dark, it may still be night. My sheets are in a slightly ruffled, but still neat mess. I look at the clock to the left of my bed, it's 5:30 in the morning. I stretch my arms out while still laying back, and as I do... my right arm brushes against something. I just felt my cat, so I pet it and roll back over to my left side to get comfortable before going back to sleep since it was the weekend, and I had a few hours before anything needed to be done. Right as I get comfortable again something shifts in my bed on the right hand side, I could hear a slight yawn from behind me as well. It was a woman's voice that I heard next. She mumbles something softly and sensing the warmth, moves over towards my back and settles back into
When we were about to take off I smelt a terrible smell. "It must be something gone bad. It smells kind of like moldy cheese," I thought. What I saw next took my mind off the smell faster than a wild gazelle. It was a white building in the shape of a pentagon. In fact it was the Pentagon. It was ginormous, it was fascinating. Then we started to turn, and I saw the Capitol building up close. It was white like snow and it was very tall. We were on another Embraer 190 and the flight was very smooth. When the flight attendant came, I got a pineapple Fanta and then I got out my salad. The next time I looked out the window, I saw the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. I watched more River Monsters on the television and then I needed to go to the bathroom. I stupidly took out my phone to play a racing game, but I forgot to turn off my volume so it blared the sound of a NASCAR sprint cup car zooming by. My dad and the stranger next to him woke up and looked at me. My cheeks were hotter than the Sahara desert, and I slumped down in my chair. Only when my dad was about to fall asleep I remembered my
It was a chilly night as I was walking down the path to my house to see my wife and children when I heard someone talking. I was very curious about who would be down this path at this time for it was very late into the evening and I had just gotten off work at the office. I walked very quietly towards the voices that I heard. As I crept up behind a bush I could hear a voice saying...
In today’s society many highpower beings speak without assembling their thoughts and overthinking the effect they may have on the world. Think of the current President of the United States who enters social media and discusses opinions that many disagree with. Consider internet influencers making poor decisions causing a huge backlash. Acting without thinking causes tremendous problems which many stories try to prevent by undertoning life lessons. This topic is highly important because ignorantly behaving poorly can cause many arguments which can be prevented by a mere childrens book. The book “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” by Robert Southey displays that impulsive behavior has consequences which can prevent young children and adults from
I pulled into the driveway of my house and parked my car. I grabbed my coat and bag and opened the door. When I got out I instantly began to smell the sweet aroma of the long rose bushes making their way out of our fence and into the world of our driveway. I was so captivated by the fall breeze, and the beautiful smell of fall in the air that I didn't even know that I was to the door. As I snapped back into reality, I looked up and I was standing at my doorway.
I feel the need for something different and wander off to make some new friends. I sit to talk to a beautiful girl by a pillar. Normally, I would be very shy and never dream of talking to a goddess such as she. Before I know what is going on, I am laying on my back with my head in her lap and she is massaging my face and neck gently, her touch so light that there seems to be almost no touch, just energy passing from her fingers to my face. I start to imagine strange worlds in my minds eye, seemingly rendered by computers full of brilliant glow-stick colors like fluorescent blues, purples and greens, and there are strange creatures dancing and racing about. Now this total stranger is kissing me very very softly, and I am lost in space and time, I can no longer feel the floor beneath my body and the images I see are more vivid, the moment lasting for eternity.
I stopped walking and looked up at the faint stars. The seagulls were flying overhead. They were screeching and swooping at the water. I started to wish I were one of them, flying free without any restrictions or limits. I listened to their voice, the screech. Deep down in I could understand what they were saying. I can't explain it, but I was so in love with the moment I thought I saw things as they did. I was in company of animals that had no concept of time, and no worries, and I was contempt with that. I closed my eyes and the faint sun warmed my face, as if shining only for me. The warmth made ...
"Dad, may I please feed the bear?" asked my son, who was only four then. I had never seen his smile so big after I had taken him to the zoo. " Hey dad, can I do it again?" he asked, wishing he could do it every day.
In the morning on the next day, I was standing on the walkway to look over to the waterfall. I saw the beautifully harmonious view of the waterfall and the colorful trees and flowers. I also heard the sound of birds waking in the morning, and the rush of falls. It made me feel like I was in a fairytale. I came down from my walk to sit down on the big gray rock, and it had been warmed by the morning sunlight. I also had time to meditate while sat on the rock. It was so relaxing. During meditation, I closed my eyes and listened to the sound of the waterfall, but I had felt afraid because I had not heard any of my friends. After meditating for a while, I felt the warmth of the sun and a waft of the wind that touched my body. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. The first thing I saw was the light of the sun shining through the trees to the water. I also saw many kinds of the butterflies flying around the area and fish that were swimming through the little pool right under the waterfall. I could smell nature and fresh air and feel the cool water. The setting was
