Terrorism is any act that is intended to cause terror. Terrorism usually has a political motive behind the act. A wide range of political organizations have used terrorism to control their citizens. It has been practiced by nationalist groups, religious groups, revolutionaries, and ruling governments in the past. A terrorist is a person who uses terrorism in the pursuit of political goals. However, a freedom fighter is a person who uses violence to achieve a political goal, especially in order to overthrow their government. A freedom fighter would be someone like Nelson Mandela fought for the rights of black African people in South Africa. In the movie “V for Vendetta” there is a character named V. In the start of the movie V blows up an important building to sound an alarm to the chancellor warning his arrival. To the people V is trying to communicate his power, even though the government covers it up V states that he did it through the media. The media is heavily controlled by the government but V is able to breach that control and give a message to the people. V then tells people to go against the government and tells the people about his radical plan to blow up the parliament building, and asks people to stand along him as he carries out this violence attack. After that seen V kills some finger men who were trying to capture him. He does this by using some crew working at the station as bait and confuses the police making them kill some of the crew members. V also hunts down and kills all of the members of the chancellor’s party. V planned to kill those who played a role at Lark-hill Detention Centre where cruel experiments took place. V murdered these individuals for revenge of the suffering they have caused him and hundreds of others. While V does succeed in his evil act of vengeance, many people are injured in the process, and he kills a lot of innocent and guilty people regardless of
