“Life is about being a versatile athlete and training in all realms of life.” Although I am not a naturally athletic person, this quote by Ray Lewis still embodies a motif that does relate to me- versatility. I am a woman of many talents and skills, from creative writing to chemistry. It is not just my actions that define me as versatile, however. The best indicator of my versatility is something that cannot be detected by the naked eye- that is, my mind.
Ever since I was little I have openly expressed my creativity. At some point in my life I have been involved in every form of the arts: drawing lessons and dance classes in elementary school; chorus and martial arts in middle school; theater, writing, and piano during high school. I am particularly skilled in writing. I have read many different genres and writing styles so that I could learn to compose diverse forms of literature, making me a very versatile writer. But I also see the world in a creative light. I find pleasure in fantasy and folklore; I am allured by legends and myths. I have a very active imagination and tend to...

Throughout my life, my work ethic, my mental strength, and the skills I have learned, are largely because of my athletic background and all of the things I have gone through with them. To be good at sports, one does not have to
My five greatest strengths according to the StrengthsFinder survey are activator, restorative, achiever, command and relator, in rank order. Upon reading about these strengths, I can see how I have used and will continue to use them. I was aware of these strengths, for the most part, but while researching I was able to learn a few things. One article that stood out to me was “Don't let your strengths become your weaknesses” (Kaiser, & Kaplan, 2013). In this article, the possibility of strengths becoming weaknesses when overused was discussed. The authors explained how overdoing can be just as purposeless as under doing. The ability to read and respond adeptly is crucial in handling challenges, they explained. As with everything else in life, balance is key!
My top five strengths are both great and damaging to myself. My talent for achieving and competiveness guarantees that I am never satisfied and constantly needing to rise to the top. While these are great strengths to have, it qualifies that I never able to truly rest or feel the satisfaction of a work well done because I am already moving to the next hurdle. However, these strengths are great for...
I was always a creative child; it was something I just could not not be. Back then I didn’t know how to be ‘normal.’ While the other children wrote their essays about their mothers and pets or their best friends, I wrote about becoming birds or about ducks building robots. Truly. I suppose I could blame it on my parents – my father for trying to teach me how to read when I was too young and my mother for reading The Hobbit by JRR Tolkein to me as my bedtime story – but I know, truthfully, that it wasn’t their fault. It is no one’s fault, for I do not see my strange imagination as a terrible, abnormal thing. I do know that no one in particular influenced my creativity when I was younger, but I remember being obsessive about certain stories. I remember when I got my first computer – a 16-color piece of, well, garbage that barely ran. But even though it was so old and primitive, it opened new doors for my imagination, and I spent my childhood either playing games about knights and dragons or running around outside and acting out my own unscripted scenari...
NACCCE definition of creativity: ‘Imaginative activity fashioned so as to produce outcomes that are both original and of value’(NACCCE, 1999:94).Creativity can motivate children to learn new information through a creative outlook. One of the biggest issues teachers have is between teaching required content and integrating creativity into the daily sessions. The National Curriculum and state standard often create boundaries towards the teacher’s ability to develop the lesson, as the intention of including creativity sometimes resorts in a teacher centred learning environment. The teacher’s role should be to generate lessons and create activities that encourage students to be more open to their creative side. This is vital as it exposes children with varying learning styles to different ways of learning.
When I was a little girl, I loved to draw. I spent my days going on adventures with my dolls and then doodling the scenarios down on paper. Drawing was amusing and it brought me true pleasure and up to age eleven, I was determined to become an artist when I grew up. One day, while I was sprawled out on the floor doodling, I mentioned my ambition to my mother. There was a moment of silence, and I stoppe...
Writing about my personal strengths is a challenging task that requires me to focus on the strong points that make up my character. However, to attack my weaknesses, is to challenge myself to take control over the areas that need some redefining of certain skills to make greatest success in life. My life is not defined by weaknesses, but more so the makeup of my personal strengths.
Furthermore, a love for sports coupled my desire to work hard to start a multi-talented sports career. Once again, I found myself seeking the attention of somebody, this time my coaches, in order to stand out from the rest. While coaches ...

Since I was very young, art has been a major part of my life. I lived for creating new things, whether it was on paper, made of clay, or created from wood. Due to my dedication, I have advanced in my art and bring many people entertainment. If creativity had not been implied, no one would have enjoyed the drawings or paintings I had made. Especially in todays world where billions of people are corrupted by the internet and find no time to be...
I think about art often. My father is an artist as well as my sister. I grew up surrounded by art either in paintings, dance, or art performances I attended at my sister’s high school, the arts academy. My desire to create art must have a root in my childhood, where I was constantly involved in beautiful creations of the human
Strength is the treasure for everyone. Strength can affect people in their lives. After complete the survey, I clearly realize what my strengths are, and what roles these strengths play in my life. How to sufficiently use them in the reality determine success. My top five strengths are: significance, focus, belief, responsibility and deliberative.
Everybody; old and young have active an imagination, but we all express it differently than others. For me I express my imagination with my artwork. For example; when I was younger I watched a lot of cartoons just like any other kid. My favorite cartoon at the time was He-Man. I loved the show so much that I frequently dreamt and imagined of being strong like him, but I knew it could not be possible so instead of dreaming, I drew up an entire comic book of myself being a super strong super hero just like He-Man all thanks to my vivid imagination and artistic ability. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has done something similar.
