In response to the research report, this draft outlines my basic blueprint to research bicycle rental system. The research will lead to the recommendation of building a bicycle rental transportation system in Vancouver.
Introduction
From today to the future year 2030, it is appropriate to estimate that Vancouver population will increase by more than one million. Vancouver public transportation will hardly bear the pressure due to the largely increase in population. Other than population pressure, the public transportation is criticised by huge carbon emissions as well. For sharing the responsibility of Translink, it is necessary to build the bicycle rental system as a supplement of sky train and bus.
The business idea is to establish several bicycle rental loops near the sky train stations, down town and universities. People can lease and turn back bicycle in any rental stations nearby. For attracting more and more customers to use this new type of public transportation, the system can only charge at a low price.
Thus, one of the major problems is how to continue running the bike system at a low price. One of the best solutions is generating profit from advertising on stations and bicycles. The other major problem is the possibility of using electronic device to prevent stealing and other damages. The details of this new business model will expose in the formal report.

Vancouver public bike system initially it was "the last section of the road" trip, but I believe with the increase in the number of outlets and bikes, renting and returning bicycles has become more convenient thus, more and more people will ride bicycles. First, the system should have several centre bicycle stations at centers of Vancouver city pub...

... have the single-use time less than 1 hour, which will charge for very low fees. With the network expanding and the rapidly increasing number of bicycles, advertising adsorption ability will grow. The company plans to auction its advertising rights in the future, for the introduction of professional partners. Unexpectedly, the company also can generate earnings from technology. It can sell its technology such as electronic locks and other research and development patents to other cities if they want to build the same systems.
Conclusion
With the model of government guidance and enterprise operations, the bicycle rental systems will successfully operating in Vancouver for a long time in near future. This report analyses and proves the new business ideal. The rental system will benefit people in Vancouver from relieving pressures of Trans link and carbon emissions.
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is not the best method of transportation in the city of Toronto, because it’s unreliable, inconvenient, and unsanitary. First of all, the TTC is unreliable because of many delays. The TTC buses often come late and there are many subway breakdowns and signal problems. These problems can cause longer wait times and result in the rider being late. Additionally, the TTC is inconvenient because it is difficult for the rider to get to his or her destination without a few transfers. In addition, there are very few direct routes and limited area coverage. For example, there are some areas where passengers have to walk long distances just to get to the bus stop. These problems can result in many transfers and cause
Even though ISTEA, as a whole, did not transform the transportation sector and the direction funding went during its original 6 years, it laid the foundation for subsequent legislation that has led to a continuing effort to create a pedestrian transportation network aimed at alleviating congestion and cutting emissions. According to the Federal Highway Administration (2013), more than $9 billion has been utilized for 27,172 pedestrian and bicycle path projects...
Bicycles range in price anywhere from five hundred dollars to over fifteen hundred dollars. They should be equipped with a light, reflectors, and a duty bag for the rear rack. The bicycles should also be equipped with a water bottle holder.
These include encouraging commuters to use public transport, decongesting public transport, decentralizing businesses from the Greater Toronto Area, investing in transport infrastructure, passing relevant transport legislation and dialog with stakeholders in transport industry. These solutions aim at discouraging the use of private vehicles and increasing the effectiveness of public transport to increase the capacity and speeds needed to reduce congestion in Toronto. However, it is important to involve all relevant stakeholders when developing solutions to the transport congestion since as earlier discussed, these people may offer very effective solutions to this problem since they are the major road users. The general public will also be keen to follow changes made to improve the transport sector if it is involved in the change process. This will ensure that Toronto has one of the best transport systems not only in North America but across the
This case study is about “Specialized Bicycle Components Inc.” known as Ride the Red “S”. Specialized was founded in 1974 by Mike Sinyard. According to Chris Murphy, director of marketing for Red “S”, specialized is for serious riders. He says, “The customer is buying the ride from us, not just the bike.” The company began to produce its own bike parts by 1976, and introduced the first major production mountain bike in the world in 1980. Specialized now has an extensive global distribution network of 5000 retailers in 35 countries in Asia, North America, South America, and Australia. They maintained a reputation as the technological leader in the bike and bike accessories. The formal mission is still the same since they established the company “To give everyone the best ride of their life.”
TRANSPORT SERVICES BLOG: Benefits of Renting a Semi-Trailer Renting a Semitrailer Just may be the Answer Should you rent or buy a semitrailer? It’s a question that keeps many in the trucking industry up at night. While ownership offers some tax advantages and allows you to build up equity adding the semitrailer as an asset, renting allows you to be more flexible and is generally less expensive. When your cash flow is tight, if a job only offers slim profit margins, or if your business is seasonal, renting a trailer becomes a logical business decision.
It needs to improve its areas of “walkability” and encourage health and environmental factors by adding bike lanes to the heavily biked Church Street. Its roads are not overburdened and its public transit systems are frequent, and highly accessible. One factor to be drawn from this conclusion is that Church and Wellesley’s overall transportation success is not indicative of the GTA as a whole. In fact, its success is the result of government policies that have abetted a focus on highly trafficked, highly populated, highly profitable areas such as the Downtown Core (Keil, Roger, Young, 2008). In the article, Urban Form and Travel Behavior as Tools to Assess Sustainable Transportation in the Greater Toronto Area, the authors conclude that the GTA is headed in a negative direction, and that the goal of sustainable transportation will not be met or improved in the future under the current policies and trends. Overall, the symptoms of Church and Wellesley, although beneficial to the BIA locals, could be seen as a symptom of an greater problem with the city’s transit system that needs to be addressed through political, bureaucratic, and organizational reform ((Zaidan, Esmat, Abdelgadir, Abulibdeh,
BoltBus’s strengths can be described as their innovation skills are second to none. They have lowered fares to be affordable and have no unnecessary stops along the way when traveling, so it presents a smooth, peaceful ride for the customer or rider. It also implemented certain technological advances, such as: built in Wi-Fi service, power plugs at every seat for powering lap-tops and phones, and generous leg room for comfort and peace. This captures the younger, tech-savvy audience within their demographic market plan.
There are three separate market segments: road bikes, mountain bikes, and youth bikes. Each of these segments range in differences such as size, price, product sensitivity, product preferences, and consumer viewing habits. Frequently, customers were interested in finding the lowest price to fulfill their needs. Our firm speculated the upgrading the mountain bike would encourage our customers to spend more money for a better quality bike; however, we discovered that customers were not interested in paying the extra money for an improved bike.
Toronto is a futuristic city with state of the art technologies and latest innovation used in its daily administration, management and development. The city’s mass rapid transit system has become a model for similar projects for developing countries. The main arterial roads and highways are wide enough to allow smooth traffic flow and the Toronto Subway and Rapid Transit system efficiently bears the burden. Toronto also has an extensive network of public transport buses. Toronto Pearson International airport is one of the most important and busiest airports of North America. The city has one of the most advanced health care systems and is a major center for biotechnology and advance medicine research. Toronto is also an important educational hub of North America with top notch technological and research institutes, universities, colleges, cultural institutions are present here. The city is also famous for the CN Tower one of the tallest freestanding structure in the world and which is the most popular and iconic symbol of Toronto. The CN Tower is a communication tower which has again put Toronto as a hub of Communication in the World.
Introduction The Segway Personal Transporter (PT) is a self-balancing two-wheeled, battery-powered personal transportation device with a set of handlebars, see Figures below. It is self-balancing, really easy to operate and a personal commuter can travel up to 12 miles/hour. Although Segway is a technological marvel, it did not quite match the high expectations when it was first revealed in the press in 2001. Initially the press were carried away with this new interesting device and its potential to change the world and how we commute.
Uber needs to focus its entry into densely populated areas of Canada lacking a well developed public transit system. These opportunities can easily be taken advantage of if Uber was to further develop its existing strengths.
Nowadays, advertising is a very big business. Very often is the major means of competing among firms. Furthermore, supporters of advertising claim that it brings specific benefits for consumers.

We all use vehicles for transportation. People usually go to their desired destination either by driving their own cars or traveling in public transportation. Actually, it might be tough to choose that which one is the best selection for people to travel. Many people choose one of them according to their comfort while traveling and both of them have advantages and disadvantages in different conditions. Public transportation and driving own car both shares differences and similarities in many aspects, such as facility, cost, and comfort as well as traffic jam and accident occurrence.
