Trust is illustrated in the dictionary as a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone; however, trust is not that straightforward to interpret. Trust goes into a deeper meaning as we experience life and grow. Trust is believing in someone with your heart, knowing that they will treasure and adore it inside them. Trust is not doubt. Trust explained in different ways within one's being which are: trust in yourself, trust in one's companion, trust in family, and trust in friends.
In a short passage from Self Reliance, by Ralph Waldo Emerson, it states, “Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string.” This quote by Emerson shows that everyone can trust in themselves, and people are lead and attracted to the ones that are more trustworthy in others and themselves. This quote applies to you, even if you don’t think it does. Trust is important in relationships, and one must have confidence in themselves, and others, in every aspect of life. Everyone deals with hardships throughout life, so one must trust despite your failures, mistakes, and insecurities of yourself and others. Each and every person will mess up one time or another in their life, nobodies perfect, and sometimes trust is broken, but by trusting yourself, you will then be able to trust others.
By trusting yourself, you begin to discover your self-confidence within your soul. This means you are honest with yourself in situations that may not be the best at and you may even critize; you don’t give up and be the best you can. You must trust yourself because no one in the univese knows you better. Trust your gut, do what you feel is right. Don't ride with a drunk driver, if you dont feel its right it probably is not right. Trust is not easy to achieve. One must show that he/she is reliable before trust is given. Trust is not something that is as simple as believing but rather involving yourself or two people being passionate about what they believe. Trust is knowing that you are commited enough to not let yourself or someone else down. Therefore, like Emerson's quote, trust is important to everyone. Without trust, people wil not be able to live and tolerate each other. Trust is a part of being united and may only be explained fully through our hearts. Trust plays a vital role in the lives of humans as it is the pathway to founding and maintaining a good, morally mature society. Whether it is trusting another in team sports, friendship, or just for help and guidance, trust is able to increase the strength of the bond between any amount of people. Although we rely on our trust for another to see through to a desirable result, we are in fact risking what we are entrusting to another, and it is probable that our trust is taken advantage of and lead to betrayal. Why this is the cause and what action should be taken to minimise betrayal has been explored by many philosophers such as Plato, Thomas Hobbes and David Hume.
For instance, when referring to the church it is impossible for a person to follow a leader they cannot trust. In some cases, it is impossible to lead a person you can’t trust; but Jesus showed us in just his life story that he could sup with the very one who betrayed him. Trust is defined as the reliance on the integrity, strength, ability or surety of a person or thing. To break ones trust is to lose their confidence in the person or thing. Trust can be broken with a single, unreliable action and is often challenging and difficult to win back. In the case of the one whose trust was broken, it is a difficult, jarring and abrupt change of reality to discover the betrayal and loss of trust in someone who they once relied upon . In William Shakespeare 's play entitled Hamlet, the protagonist Hamlet is unable to take swift revenge on his father 's murderer. This is due to the fact that Hamlet has become distrustful of the most important people in his life and so this sparks a question in those around him but also

I have always had a hard time learning how to trust people. The one person I found that I could trust with everything was my sister Brittany. I could always go to her and let her know if I had done something wrong. She would assure me that she would not tell anyone if I didn’t want her to. I knew all my secrets would be safe with her and that nobody would find out unless I told them. This was very important to me because I haven’t had very good luck in finding people whom I can trust. Brittany has never told anyone a secret that I told her. Knowing that I could trust my sister with anything helped make our relationship stronger.

Doubt arises in people’s lives often, and it can play different roles depending on how the person deals with it. For these reasons, certainty and doubt go hand in hand. Nothing in life is certain. This realization can bring upon dubious thoughts rather than inspire
What is trust? Is trust essential for the way we live our everyday life? Trust is a quality or condition of being trustworthy; loyal; reliable. I think trust is an essential way of life because you cannot make a relationship, friendship, a business, or an organization if there is no foundation. Part of that foundation is trust and loyalty because you should be able to depend, rely, and trust others that they will do exactly what is right for them and you. Trust can be broken so quick, it is scary, because once trust is broken it is a lot harder to gain back then when you first gained trust in someone. This relates to my life because my trust with my dad was alerted going into my freshman year.
