Tourism In London
Aim
The aim was to find out about tourism in London.
Introduction
We had to find about tourism in London, so we visited three of the top
tourist attractions in London . The first attraction was the Tower of
London. William the Conqueror began building, what is now known as the
Tower of London, in 1078. The Tower is situated on the north bank of
the river Thames, at the eastern extremity of London. It contains
within its walls twelve acres and five roods. The exterior circuit of
the surrounding ditch is three thousand one hundred and thirty-six
feet. On the Tower Hill side the ditch has considerable breadth and
depth; and here the view was taken which illustrates this description.

The second attraction was the Tate Modern. It is a major gallery of
modern and contemporary art.

The last attraction was the St Paul Cathedral . There are many great
Cathedrals in the world. One of them is St. Paul's Cathedral in
London. After the huge fire that nearly destroyed the city of London
in 1666, St. Paul's was restored by the great Sir Christopher Wren.
One of the most favoured and amazing features of the new and improved
church was the dome. The church's huge dome towers were about 365 feet
tall. Wren created an inner and outer dome constructed like two layers
of an onion skin. The dome is divided into four stages from the
outside supporting dome. The design took great skill. Wren's
architectural design also required that the dome rest on eight piers.
He created a maximum wealth internally and a distinctive external
silhouette that has since become a London landmark .

Method
The method I used was my observational skills. For example for the
landscape evaluation I took a good look around to see what there was.
For the questionnaire I went up to people and asked the questions on
the sheet.
Analysis
From my results it shows that the tower of London has the most

The corporation has become the UK’s largest independent hotel brand comprising of 500+ hotels and 37,000+ guest bedrooms which is spread across UK, along with Ireland and Spain. In this report, the positioning of the Travelodge will be discussed in the sector of hospitality.

This essay will discuss the view that pilgrimage to sacred sites is a form of tourism by outlining the debates surrounding sacred sites and between different factions. The essay will then apply these arguments and ideas to Stonehenge and Avebury. It will also look at the associations of Pilgrimage and Tourism within the ideologies surrounding leisure and their application to Glastonbury.
According to Leiper “Transportation is the only link between the tourist-generating region and destination region”[2]So, transportation was a more interesting sector to discuss in the report but I tried to find a company which is related with all these main sub-sectors discussed above in the report. I have decided to look in the U.K market for such company because “Tourism is one of the largest industries in U.K, worth approximately 75.9 £ Billion to the U.K economy in 2002 and supporting around 2.1 million jobs.” [3] During my research on internet I found many companies offering services in the tourism of U.K but I have decided to choose “Simply Travel” because of its variety of services offering related with the accommodation, transportation and attractions.
Global business is widely growing and increasing day by day, it has indeed manufactured benefits to both world and individual economy of a country. It plays a vital role to make it sustain in the long term profitability and also helps to improve interconnection between countries. Tourism business is however inter-related with world business and economy as it contributes a large amount of money exchange and also cuts the boundary of cultural and social backgrounds in other words the world has become local to everyone through tourism and globalization. Tourism in other words is a business which has grown globally and has become popular by marketing its products and aquatics every where around the world.
Picture a street bustling with people trying to get home from work, late night shoppers sipping their piping hot soups and the sweet smell of darkness. Glamorous restaurants full of happy families, prepare to open, switching on the lights which illuminate up the night sky like little stars. A blanket of darkness sweeps over the city and the natural lights that hang in the sky switch on one by one. The luxury cars start to come out of the darkness and the city comes back to life after the brief moment when everything stops. It’s the only moment when everyone is just rushing to get home to their warm loving families, their spouses and the home made food that they have prepared. This is the great city of London right? It’s the great city where
This topic is a great way to start off someone on a course especially with travel and tourism. I felt that during my time in learning about the Virgin Group in this course has provided me an inspiration and idea of what we will be having a taste of in the travel industry.
Ding! Dong! Ding! The distinctive imperfect tone you hear hourly, in London, coming from an impressive clock tower known as Big Ben or the Elizabeth Tower, honor of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee as of June 2012; seeing more of Big Ben, a ride on the London Eye would give an astonishing view of clock tower. Another interesting and historical thing to look into, in London, is the London Bridge. Although there are many places to visit or tour in London, some appealing places may be Big Ben, The London Eye, and the London Bridge.

For the past few decades other forms of tourism, also known as niche tourism, have been becoming more popular, particularly:
It usually includes full details relating to accommodation, restaurants, transportation and activities. Maps, historical details as well as cultural information are often included. Travel Guides are developed from the published personal experiences of aristocrats who travelled through Europe on the Grand Tour. But with today’s paperless generation and emergence of digital technology, many publishers turned into electrical distribution.
Tourism sector in the UK is not only one of the largest tourism industries in the world but it is identified by the Government as one of the five fundamental sectors in the UK (Tourism, 2011). Despite of this, there is a gradual decline in domestic tourism in the recent past (Tourism, 2011). In addition to this, according to the government statistics there is a slight decline in the visit of foreign travellers in the last quarter of 2016, as compared to the last quarter of the year 2015 (The National Archives, OGL, 2017). Heritage and culture are the key factors to attract the tourists to the UK, especially London. This is because, London is a home of many historic buildings and heritages. However, in order to encourage the future
I am planning a trip to my dream destination, the United Kingdom! I have always dreamed of going to London and exploring all of the beautiful landscapes the country has to offer. On my voyage I will be accompanied by my boyfriend, Damian, and my younger sister, Taylor. Before we can begin our journey we have to do the proper research so our trip will be everything we want it to be.
