Intro.
Imagine a doctor telling your mother that her and her unborn son were likely going to die if she continued her pregnancy. Today I am going to tell you about Tim Tebow and how he has been able to change others perspectives by his character and actions throughout the course of his life. Tim Tebow is unashamed of who he is as a person who withholds a strong work ethic, with determination, and he is able to connect with others who are in need.
First, Tim Tebow’s life has not always been a walk in the park. Before he was even born, the doctors told his mother that there was a huge possibility that both his mother and him would not sure the pregnancy process. In a book that Tebow co-wrote called “Through My Eyes,” Tebow proclaims how the

doctor says he was a miracle baby, due to the severity of his mom’s sickness. During his first week of being alive, he struggled to mature and gain weight, and his mother still needed help, but she in fact did recovery.
He has always been fairly competitive, due to the fact that he was the youngest of two older brothers & sisters.
His brothers would always beat him in whatever sport or game they engaged in. He played in various all the way from baseball, basketball, and football. He never shied away from any challenges life threw at him.
He was homeschooled throughout his life, but was able to play football for Nease High School where he became a standout; receiving many scholarships to play football, but ultimately he committed to the University of Florida. At Florida he would go on to play all four season as quarterback and collected two National Championships and the Heisman in the process.
In a biography by the Newsmakers it states how Tebow played through several games through injuries such as a fractured hand and a concussion. The biography also goes on to remark that after his fourth season at Florida he graduated in 2009 with a bachelor of arts degree in family, youth, & community

sciences. He then entered the 2010 NFL drafted, eventually ended up being selected 25th in the 1st round by the Denver Broncos. He played a few seasons at Denver; leading them to the playoffs once before being traded to the NY Jets. From there he bounced around from the NE Patriots and Phili. Eagles practice squads. In Tebow’s book “Shaken,” it describes his emotions after being cut from the team, but even after he got cut he couldn’t take a break and that he continued to work towards his dream.
He also made a promise to himself that he wasn’t going to let others define him.
Secondly, although his NFL career did not go as planned; he has found recent success in sports-broadcasting and playing in the minor league in baseball. In fact, shortly after he was released Tebow was offered a contract to sports-broadcast for ESPN and also a analyst for the SEC Network; the same conference as the Florida Gators who he once played for. Meanwhile, his job as an analyst did not affect his dreams of playing in the NFL.
This was a good job for Tebow, because of his knowledge for the sport and his well-known reputation for his college days success. While he continued to broadcast, Tebow decided he was going to pursue a career in baseball that occurred in the 2016 season. He now currently plays in the minor league for the St. Lucie Mets, where he has been doing extremely well.
Throughout his journey he has faced a fair amount of adversity from the outside crowd saying that he is not good enough to compete in the NFL or MLB, but he has continued to prove over and over again that he is relentless that he will not give
up. Third, Tebow has been successful in the sports field, but during that process he has been able to touch many lives along the way. On Tim Tebow’s official website it tells us that he created the Tim Tebow Foundation in 2010 that is aimed to bring faith, hope, and love, to those who are in need. His website also explains that even as a teenager, Tebow returned to the Philippines, where he was born, to help the less fortunate. He also would go to the hospital to visit many children while they were in the hospital with bad health. In his book “Shaken,” Tebow met a little boy named Garrett in 2006 after winning his first National championship with Florida where the little boy came into the locker-room after the victory to celebrate. The little boy had a heart problem and Tebow stayed in touch with him throughout his college and NFL years. Tebow would also visit him in the hospital to check up on him. Years passed and Garrett’s condition became so severe that he was in need of a heart transplant and if he didn't receive one he would die. Tebow continued to visit the boy and was also there after surgery when Garrett received his new heart. Although having Tebow there to keep Garrett going, it was Garrett who was having the biggest impact on Tebow even as Tebow was facing his NFL difficulties. His book “Shaken,” also provides another story about a boy named Jacob who was a promising football player who was getting looks from big division one schools, until one play in a football possibly ended that dream. The injury he suffered from that game was so severe that it called for his leg to be amputated. Tebow had met Jacob in 2011 and admired his determination to play ball again despite the doctors telling him that he would not be able to have that opportunity. He later got a call from the head coach from the University of Virginia who offered him a spot on the football team. Conclusion As you can see Tim Tebow has had success in whatever goals he has set out for, but he has also been selfless by helping others in a time of need. His diligence, struggles, and kind-heart have helped mold him and others as well as himself throughout his life. His impact on others whether it is through sports or charity work will be everlasting. Tebow has been through many hardships in life to be where he is at now, so what is stopping you from becoming successful?
career around after getting advice and working with his idol, Phil Niekro, a former Atlanta Braves
He did very well in all of these sports and won many trophies. He went on to play football for the Honolulu
In 1992, Lewis, armed with a full scholarship, enrolled at the University of Miami, at the time home to one of the country's best football programs. He quickly became a vital piece in a vaunted Hurricanes' defense. Overall, he ranks fifth all time in school history in tackles, and at the end of his junior year was runner-up for the Butkus Award as the nation's best linebacker.
Instructed by the NFL not to use his career to publicize his personal, religious beliefs, Tim Tebow didn't throw a fit. Instead, he became physically involved and active in his cause and community. He's been criticized time and time again, however, he has continued his efforts towards his cause. Others don't agree with him, yet he's not acting out, offending large groups, to try to get his point across. He's putting in hard work to be the change he wants to see.
The San Francisco 49ers drafted Jerry Rice in the first round. It was a really up and down season for Jerry but he slowly gained momentum throughout the year. In his second year he teamed up with a Football veteran Joe Montana. He caught 86 catches, with 15 touchdowns, and 1,570 receiving yards. Jerry Rice was really famous for his fitness level. Jerry Rice went on to play for 20
In 1972, he had a Passer Rating of 157.5 in a game. A rare perfect rating would be 158.3. In 1973, he had an amazing season where he brought the Broncos to their first ever winning season. That season he earned a First Team All-AFC, led the AFC in touchdown passes, and earned the Broncos offensive MVP. In 1974, he led the NFL in yards per pass attempt with 8.1 yards. In 1975, he played his final season and retired. He became the Broncos quarterback coach for the 1976 season, then retired from that right after. In 1977, the Broncos went to their first super bowl, the year after Charley Johnson retired. He ranks 7th in most touchdowns by a Broncos quarterback, and 9th in most yards. In 1986, Charley Johnson was inducted into the Broncos Ring of Fame.
When he went to High School, he played baseball and basketball. He attended Alvin High School. When he was a Sophomore, he pitched in front of Mets Scout Red Murff. Red said that Nolan had the best arm he had seen in his life.
Today I’m here to talk about how Tom Brady is a cheater. On February 1, 2015 super bowl XLIX was played. The game ended with the New England Patriates defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24. The balls used by the Patriates put in Tom Brady’s hands had been deflated prior to the game. The game was played in an over cast and rainy weather forecast. Where deflated balls would be easier to catch/throw.
Brett Favre grew up idolizing a pair of Southern quarterbacks, the Saints' Archie Manning and the Cowboys' Staubach. He grew up in Kiln, Mississippi and went to high school in there. His high school, Hancock North Central, honored him this past May by re-naming the field, 'Brett Favre Field,' and unveiling a life-sized statue of the quarterback at the stadium's entrance. The school previously had retired his jersey, Number 10, in 1993. He stayed in the south to go to college where he went to Southern Miss. He became the starter at Southern Miss in his third game of his freshman season. Favre majored in special education. He led his Southern Mississippi team to 29 victories, including two bowl victories, during his four varsity seasons, 1987-90, and climaxed his collegiate career by earning a MVP award in the East-West Shrine game featuring the nation's best seniors. Favre set school records for passing yards (8,193), pass attempts (1,234), completions (656), completion percentage (53.2), touchdowns (55), and with only 35 interceptions. His production included five 300-yard passing games and five 3-TD performances, while his 7,695 regular-season passing yards ranked him among the top 30 of all-time NCAA passers. His 1.57 interception ratio in 1988 was the lowest among the 50 top-ranked passers in the nation, and his 2.9 interception rate for his four-year career also ranks as one of the best in NCAA history. Also he was the MVP of the All-American Bowl at the conclusion of his senior year. All those records and stats and that was only in college!!!
In 1988 Brett had his big break. He broke the school record of touchdowns by throwing
The Erik Fisher Football Dream is slowly developing. He has gotten recognition from the Tangerine Times and since Mr. Donnelly is connected to two other football guys from Florida, he grew even more famous. There may be more of a chance that he will be able to play for a major university.
In 1996 when he was playing for the Cowboys and Reds he felt miserable, he said, ”After scoring touchdowns and dancing in the end zone, after a stadium full of cheering fans had finally gone home, I was still empty inside.” Nothing was making him happy, he tried money, women, and just about everything.
Montana did not see much action until his sophomore season when he impressed his new coach in spring games before the regular season. He became the go-to guy late in the game during comeback situations. He led Notre Dame to two crucial comeback wins, including an incredible performance against Air Force that earned him the nickname “The Comeback Kid”---the nickname stuck to Montana for the rest of his career. He missed the entire 1976 season due to a separated shoulder but came back strong in 1977. Once again, he began the year low on the depth chart at number three, but due to an injury to the second string QB and Montana leading another comeback win, he officially became the starting QB for the first time. Montana did not disappoint as...
On March 24, 1976, Peyton was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Archie and Olivia Manning. He was the second of three boys. Cooper and Eli are his siblings. Peyton developed his skills from watching his dad play for the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings. In 1991, Peyton became the starting quarterback for Isidore Newman High in New Orleans where he felt comfortable playing with Cooper, the top receiver. After being recruited by several different colleges, Peyton chose the Tennessee Volunteers. Under Peyton’s leadership, the volunteers steadily climbed to a high national ranking. Also while playing for Tennessee Peyton set forty-two conference, school, and NCAA records. Although he was finished in three years and was expected to turn pro, he chose to stay with Tennessee one more year. In his last year with the Volunteers he led them to the National Championship in the Orange Bowl. The following year Peyton, the number one overall NFL draft pick, became the starting quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts.
What truly is amazing is the person Tim Tebow represents off the field. He is a devout Christian who works to spread his religion and give hope to those in need. Tebow has been involved with controversy that started in his days in high school, due to a law in Florida that allowed him to pick his high school. Tebow is possibly the only player to be under national scrutiny from his high school playing days through his career in the NFL both on and off the field. Most of this controversy is because of his faith and how he displayed it on field. The best way to describe him is to say that he is a polarizing person and player in the sense that people either love or hate him. Tim Tebow is, indeed, a great person and role model on the playing field as well as off of it.
