Literary devices are used in all books and movies. Literary devices are what pull the whole story together. Music is a literary device used in movies. In movies, music is what sets the mood. If an eerie song starts to play, you know something shoddy is about to happen. Sound and music initiates mood and tone. One director that focuses a lot on music and sound is Tim Burton. Burton has his own distinctive way of creating movies. He loves to include weird sound effects and songs into his films. He has a creative way of expressing his inner thoughts.
