Third wave feminists tend to think that men do not respect women in the workplace which can mainly be explained by statistical studies showing the disproportionate number of male bosses compared to female bosses and when the Feminist Party sees this it starts to think “Hey, that is not the same number or even close, men must be discriminating against women,” well, no, they’re not. As stated by NAWRB “55 percent of Americans have no preference between a male or female boss.” So, if men do not care about the gender of their bosses, men have to be able to think of women as acceptable bosses. An argument against such will not be made and if that is what a woman wants to do then all the power to them. But that is the main problem in the feminist argument, it is all up to the women’s choice to choose what career they want to strive for. STEM jobs, science, technology, engineering, or math-related jobs prefer women to a two to one ratio in favor of women. With claims of business owners being sexist and sexually discriminating on the rise, jobs are making more of an effort than before in the search for women candidates to fill empty desks just to get rid of any suspicions. Based on what change can be observed over time, one can make predictions of the days that may be. In this case, one can see the change of women’s place within the workforce from the beginning of World War II to their placement today. From being looked at as a temporary replacement, women are seen to be equal to men. Furthermore, one can see that even though men and women are equal in the workplace, with both pay and opportunity, gender-dominated careers still exist today and cannot be blamed by inequality among the genders like some feminists and political leaders would like to lead the public into believing. These gender-dominated jobs are also do not exist through current sexual discrimination. There was sexual discrimination in the past and it was mainly towards the female gender, but due to the first two waves of feminism with the fight for equality among the entire workforce, the Equal Pay Act and the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act sexual discrimination of any gender is now illegal. Because of this, businesses make it a point to make sure that sexual discrimination does not happen at all and appoint full sections to prevent such actions and punish those who commit
