For decades the U.S has provided consistent and unparalleled support to Israel. Since the world war II, Israel has been receiving the largest amount of U.S. military and economic aid.
The United States gives a subsidy of about $500 (per each Israeli) each year. Israel received about $3.7 billion in direct aid from the United States in 2003. It receives this entire amount at the start of every fiscal year while all other countries receive their aid money in quarterly installments each year, and so, Israel earns extra interest during the course of each fiscal year. Israel also happens to be the only state which is not accountable for where and how the aid money is spent. This makes it practically impossible to keep a check on where the money is being spent and there is no way to ensure that it is not being used for purposes against the interests on the United States.
The United States also gives Israel full access to top secret intelligence files that it denies even to its NATO allies and chooses to turn a blind eye in the direction of Israel’s acquirement of nuclear weapons. (Avner Cohen, Israel and the Bomb, New York: Columbia University Press, 1999); (Seymour M. Hersh, The Samson Option: Israel’s Nuclear Arsenal and American Foreign Policy, New York: Random House, 1991).
American parliament and politicians provide Israel with unswerving diplomatic support. Since 1982, the United States has stood to veto 32 United Nations Security Council resolutions which had a critical approach towards Israel. Interestingly, this number of vetoes is larger than the collective total of vetoes which have been cast by all other members of the UN Security Council.
This generosity might have been understandable if Israel was a crucial strategic asse...

...several US political contenders. The New York Times published about his fervent devotion to Israel stating that: “He has since emerged as perhaps the most politically connected mogul in Hollywood, throwing his weight and money around Washington, and increasingly, the world, trying to influence all things Israeli.
Admiral Thomas Moorer, former Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, spoke about the U.S-Israel relations in the following words:
“I've never seen a President -- I don't care who he is -- stand up to them [the Israelis]. It just boggles the mind. They always get what they want. The Israelis know what is going on all the time. I got to the point where I wasn't writing any¬thing down. If the American people understood what a grip those people have got on our government, they would rise up in arms. Our citizens certainly don't have any idea what goes on.”

...r remains faithful to the memory of his peaceful childhood when Jews and Palestinians lived together in peace, and the prospect of a better future. Despite the political wrongs his people have suffered, he is proud of his heritage and intends to “restore race relations between Jews and Palestinians, (by restoring) human dignity” (146). To do this, Chocour implements innovative techniques: he has Palestinians visit the Kibbutzim, and has Jews spend time with Palestinian families. Chocour’s message is quite honorable, “to change hearts not institutions” (222). Chocour remembers that “Jews and Palestinians are brothers, the(y) have the same father, Abraham, and believe in the same God” (34). It is sad that peoples in this region need to be remnded that they are brothers, but it is comforting that there are men like Chocour, who valiantly assume this task as their own.
The fight between Israel and Palestine has been seen as an unfair battle, due to the high-tech supplies given to Israel by the US. Israel’s military is extremely strong and constantly growing, with people joining from all over the world, while Palestine’s main defense is a terrorist group called Hamas. Israel has been forced into building a wall surrounding the Gaza strip to stop these terror attacks from harming the citizens of Israel. Palestine believes that Israel’s fighting is too severe compared to Palestine’s attempts at attacking Israel. Gideon Levy wrote, “Once again, Israel’s violent responses, even if there is justification to them, exceed all proportion and cross every red line of humaneness, morality, international law, and wisdom (Document 5, Palestinian View)”. The Palestinians believe that the Israeli military is fighting too much and unfairly, and should not be allowed to take these measures against them.
Reviewing the experiments five years later, one secrecy-conscious CIA auditor wrote: “Precautions must be taken not only to protect operations from exposure to enemy forces but also to conceal these activities from the American public in general. The knowledge that the agency is engaging in unethical and illicit activities would have serious repercussions in political and diplomatic circles.” Though many of the documents related to MKULTRA were destroyed by the CIA in 1972, some records relating to the program have made it into the public domain. And the work of historians, investigative reporters, and various congressional committees has resulted in the release of enough information to make MKULTRA one of the most disturbing instances of intelligence community abuse on record. As writer Mark Zepezauer puts it, “the surviving history is nasty enough.”

The Middle East has since time immemorial been on the global scope because of its explosive disposition. The Arab Israeli conflict has not been an exception as it has stood out to be one of the major endless conflicts not only in the region but also in the world. Its impact continues to be felt all over the world while a satisfying solution still remains intangible. A lot has also been said and written on the conflict, both factual and fallacious with some allegations being obviously evocative. All these allegations offer an array of disparate views on the conflict. This essay presents an overview of some of the major literature on the controversial conflict by offering precise and clear insights into the cause, nature, evolution and future of the Israel Arab conflict.
Israel has been dealing with Palestinian pressures to give back the land that they consider “theirs” and other leaders have had different views on how to handle aggression from the Palestinians. Ehud Olmert’s views included handling the conflict with peace and not using violence. He suggested to Mohamed Abbas a convergence plan which centered around the idea that the Israeli people would be forced out of the West Bank which is an are... ... middle of paper ... ... m. A part of the problem today in this conflict is the people not willing to change or go along with what their leaders enforce and their ideas.
The pro-Israel intervention represented the US foreign policy reaction when the violation to regional stability was committed by Israel. The cases discussed above were evaluated against the US reaction to Israel’s regional behaviour; in terms of whether the Israeli behaviour served or hampered US interest in maintaining regional stability and whether or not the US opposed Israel when it acted in ways that the United States deemed undesirable. It was concluded that, as a general rule, Washington was ready to intervene to address any violation to the status quo in the Middle East system except when this violation was committed by its regional surrogate. Israel had contributed directly in destabilizing the Middle East system (pushing the system out of its equilibrium point) in several cases, four of which have been discussed above. These crises, in spite of their negative effect on regional stability, witnessed minimal US reaction.
Before extending aid to other countries, we should focus on our more prevalent domestic problems. Patrick Buchanan said, "The idea that we should send endless streams of tax dollars all over the world, while our own country sinks slowly in an ocean of debt is, well, ludicrous. Almost every American knows it, feels it, believes it." The topic of United States foreign policy is greatly debated, and a decision on how to handle is very hard to come by. It seems as if we are finally leaning towards less aid to foreign countries, as we try to cut wasteful spending. The American government is finally opening its eyes to the realization that all of the aid we are giving out may not be worth it. Our priority should be to help our homeless, instead of other countries' poor.

The events throughout history have been drastically shaped by spies, unknown heroes and unspoken stories. This is true within The Mossad, an Israeli special intelligence organization. Spying, covert operations, assassinations, and espionage have been at the heart of the Israeli Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations (Mossad-About Us, pg 1). Although Mossad has been in existence for many years, the impact that Mossad had on society was at all time high under Andrew Joseph. Mr. Joseph was a Jewish Indian that grew up on the mountains of Russia. Being raised as a dedicated Israeli, Andrew became very proud of his heritage. When Mr. Joseph turned twenty-one, he decided to leave his small cottage and serve his country by becoming a Mossad Agent (Joseph, 2052, pg.18). This process entailed a long journey that took an extraordinary amount of time and effort. After overcoming many obstacles in his life, Andrew Joseph was successfully able to become the most outstanding Mossad Agent in recorded history.
Prominent philanthropist Adam Milstein has a calling; his charitable work centers strengthening the State of Israel and reinforcing the relationship between the United States and Israel. Frequently writing about the need to instill pride in the State of Israel, especially among the younger generation, Milstein believes community involvement and education are the key to forging a connection to Israel in today's youth.

People argue that giving donations (tax dollars) to other nation leaders won 't help them succeed as a country. Doug Brandow wrote in his article called, “Foreign aid is a massive waste of U. S taxpayer money”, he believes that the foreign aid is a program that constantly fails. Brandow later says “Foreign assistance has always had strong defenders. They believed that fistfuls of cash could buy political stability, spur social progress and eliminate poverty in the Third World”. Not only do several of American citizens have this theory, but many of the countries feel the same way. For example Nigeria, a state in with an abundance of natural resources. Nigeria is Africa’s largest exporter, they sit on about 35 billion barrels of oil reserves. Also, they have approximately 100 trillion cubic feet of natural gases. In 2011 Nigeria was capturing almost 2 billion dollars a day! The profits would cover 70 percent of the Nigerian government 's
