The book “Wolf Brother” has a lot of research done by the author about the Stone Age and there are many facts and fictional facts from what could have happened in the past. There are many facts about the Stone Age that we can assume as non-fiction and some that are fiction. “Wolf Brother” is a book that takes place during the Stone Age. Torak is a boy and the main character of the book. He meets a wolf that is in danger and he saves it. The wolf then gives something back by telling Torak the way until he goes to the bear and chases him away. The people that were from the Stone Age could have slept on reindeer fur or they could have eaten elk hearts. Michelle Paver has put in a lot of effort to get all of the information right and she even tried to eat the foods, sleep on the same material and the same climate. Michelle Paver has done her best by doing the things by eating and sleeping. She wants to do these things so that the author could describe and explain in depth what being in the Stone Age felt like. This effort could have made everything fact and nothing fiction. However, Michelle Paver is an author that is from the 21st century. She is not a person that has lived in the Stone Age so she will not know exactly what the people ate and drank. Even though there is scientific research, the research might not exactly be correct. Without the proof that of the author living at that time, there is no reason for the facts in the book to be correct. Even though there could be some percentage of the facts being correct, most of it will not be correct because she has not lived at the time that the story takes place in. If the author had lived at the time of the Stone Age, the story would be all facts or non fiction because she has lived at the time period of the setting of the story. However, there are many books about what happened during the Stone Age but not all of this information might be correct.
