My phone vibrated waking me from my daydream state. I was trying focus on my math homework but my hand had gotten tired of writing so much. I flipped over my phone, slightly blinded by the brightness of the screen I quickly turned the brightness down to low. Then, I was greeted by a text from Ashley, It read “We need to talk.” I had no idea what she was talking about because she seemed upset but we hadn’t argued for years. I quickly bailed on the idea of doing math homework and instead replied, “What do you mean?” The wooden chair in the kitchen creaked as I swung my feet back and forth, my eyes glued to the screen. A few moments later she responded with “You always follow me and Mac around, she is not your friend she’s mine, you always try to fit in and act cool but instead you just end up …show more content…
“You know what Ashley, I’m done trying for you all you do is treat me like dirt and then you act like the victim!! I don’t need you, all you do is push me around and bring me down! I trusted you and whenever you were mean to me I would just think that you were having a bad day and it wasn’t your fault... Have a great life and don’t let the door hit you on the way out! I shoved my thumb down on the button to block her number, then I sprinted out of the room, tears still glistening on my cheek. The bell rang filling me up with dread, for the next class I had was with Ashley. I dragged my feet across the carpeted floor in Mrs. Fluitt’s classroom, sure enough, Ashley was in her seat, the one right next to mine. I pulled out my chair from the fake wood desk and sat down. “Can you not?”Ashley snarled “I would leave if I could but I'm stuck sitting with you” I retorted. My hand shot up as fast as a bullet being shot out of a gun. Mrs. Fluitt gingerly walked over “What do you need?” she grumbled. “I can’t focus at this table can I be moved as far away as possible?” I
I also don't own the idea, it was requested to me by the wonderful Amanda. Thank you so much! I hope I did this idea justice.
Arriving at Lacey’s house I walk to the backdoor letting myself into the house. Lacey was putting on tanning lotion in the kitchen, “Lacey,” I called to her, “my mom wants me to pick up snacks for the beach, do you want to go into town with me?”, “Sure,” she replied, “do you mind if my cousin comes with us?”, “Of course I don’t mind,“ I answered, “but we have to get moving, my dad only left me the car to use ‘til noon.”
When I walked in Ms. Shannon’s class I introduced myself and told the kids to pretend I wasn’t in the class. I sat in the back an...
The night before, I didn’t practice my English so I knew what to say. By now, I knew most of the words, so I would just let my heart guide me. Besides, my cramped old house, which is actually just a junky garage in an abandoned alley, is too small to let out my feelings. Once I got to school after a cold walk in the snow, I placed myself by her locker and waited. Fourteen minutes had gone by, and still no sign of Lily. I only had a minute to get to class now, so I hurriedly collected myself and ran to my locker. I was disappointed, knowing that without Lily here, it would be the hardest day of school. I opened my locker and to my surprise a note fell to the floor. I quickly picked it up and gazed at the neat handwriting that clearly spelled my name.
I woke up to her strong hands clasped tightly around my throat. My eyes shot open and there she was. Her blue eyes, wide and wild, were full of anger and resentment, burning a hole right through me. I desperately gasped for air, I didn’t bother trying to defend myself, because I knew that wouldn’t go down well. Unfortunately, this situation was all too familiar to me. Isn’t it sad that she was the one who once cuddled me when I had a bad dream, and now she is the reason I can’t sleep at night? Isn’t it sad that the person who is supposed to keep me safe is the person I fear most? “Where’d you put them!” She yelled, her familiar, liquor-scented breath hit my face. “Where’d you put my cigarettes Nina? I know you took
That night the neighborhood was alive with music and lights, "that party would be talked about for a while" thought Jerome. Everything was perfect, he had the best costume, didn't feel sick, and he was pretty popular that night. Then it all went downhill, he was talking to his friend and didn't notice when a stranger walked by and put a pill in his drink. The next thing he knew he woke up locked inside an asylum, still dressed in his 80's themed costume(disco pants, sneakers, Afro and rainbow leg warmers). If you thought he could just go out the window, you thought wrong, 4 stories up inside a locked room. Knowing he could get out through the the door or the window he looked for another way out, finding a piece of paper with the words "lay on the bed and
Sam and Antonello agreed to meet for a drink at the Vic. When Antonello arrived, Sam was already sitting at a table not the bar; on the table, on his side there was beer, on Antonello’s side a glass of red wine. Sam was bald, what was left of his hair, a rim of short hair, was flecked with grey. He had put on weight, but he was not fat, there was just a hint of a beer belly under the blue Metal Workers Union windcheater. ‘I took a punt – ordered you a red.’
Catalina was observed during the afternoon in her fifth grade classroom. At the start of the observation, the class, along with Catalina, entered the room. Catalina walked up to the observer and said, “are you the substitute for Ms. Taylor?” She then took a seat at her desk that was arranged in a group with approximately three other classmates. Mrs. Carter, Catalina’s fifth grade teacher, asked the students to get out their snacks as she began a math review. Catalina pulled out a snack out of her desk and showed it to a student seated in front her before she ate it. While Mrs. Carter read math answers to the class, Catalina appeared to check her answers, as she wrote on her math sheet. When Mrs. Carter asked the students if they had any questions,
After all that Tom has done to me I’m glad I ran over Myrtle He should really know who he’s messing with Maybe now he dose Daisy’s supposed to be mine. I don’t know what he thought he was doing by marrying her. He should of just married Myrtle if he’s so worried about her. I know for a fact no one especially not Tom, can love Daisy the way I do. I
Yesterday I woke up at 2pm, because my neighbors had a baby and he kept crying all night. I couldn't sleep until he stopped crying and fell asleep, but after I finally fell asleep he started crying again. I don’t want to be mad at him or anything. He is just a baby. But I couldn’t get any sleep because of him.
I remember when I was five years old. It’s already dusk. The sunset scenery was extremely vivid to my mind. My eyes are steady to the horizon, face aglow with the last orange rays before twilight beckons the stars. I have watched with a steadfast gaze, as the burning red light sank beneath the horizon, the threads of light dawdled in the sky, blending with the rolling heaps of clouds, the cool breeze of the pristine air pass through my innocent body, dyeing the sky orange, then red, and blue until it becomes entirely dark.
The chirping of the blueish birds worry me, an indication that dawn is near, but I don’t dare to slow my pace. Midnight is fading away, taking what little humanity I have away from me. Soon, a poor family will wake to see that their son has disappeared from his bedroom. They will be left to mourn alone, cursing the monster that stole him away as they will have every right to.
When I looked back up margot was suddenly staring me right in the eye. All of a sudden I heard loud boom, crack. almost like a whip. It was a combination of the thunder and Margot’s fist pounding into the side of my face. Pain spread through my cheek and to my mouth. I could feel exactly where Margot’s soft fist had impacted. I felt the tears rush to my eyes, dripping down slowly. Everyone in the hallway gasped as Margot ran off to the classroom. The truth of the matter is, I deserved it. Every second was payback for what I did to poor Margot. I wanted to go after her and try to apologize again however I could tell she wanted to be alone. After a while, I walked back to the classroom. I went straight to my desk, avoiding eye contact with my teacher and Margot for by the time had gotten back the next lesson had already begun. I had a plan to ignore Margot until I found a proper way to apologize, sadly, that plan failed. As we copied down our homework I went to look at the board. In the act of taking down notes my eyes meet with Margot’s. She gave me a thunderous look. Her eyes burned into
PROLOUGE: THE DARKNESS : So many people had differing concepts of death and life. Sometimes a few of them could scratch the bare surface of what those words meant. Its been a dilemma for thousands years if not the very beginning of life itself.
...e greatest prank in our school’s history. And she stopped Mrs. DeCostia from stealing from Mrs. Redrik” Then he took my hand and led me down the hall, past all of my friends, to the stairs. I stopped. “What was that for?” “I was just giving credit where credit was due.” He slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out a rather large ring. “You knew the whole time?!?” “Yeah when we and Matt moved the desk it fell out and I picked it up, I was waiting to give it back until DeCostia got busted.” “Oh my god…” “Anyway, what are we doing tonight? Movies, ice-cream, maybe some pizza?” “We’re hanging out tonight?” “Yeah I have to hang out with my girlfriend to celebrate the undermining of our psycho home wrecking teacher.” “Your girlfriend?” “Yeah...” He said into my hair as he put his hands around my waist and pulled me closer to him “Who else would I hang with tonight?”
