“TRUST” THE BEDROCK OF THE ARMY
MAJ Shoier, Ahmed
Trust means “Firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something” , Trust in The USA Army divided into two categories. First the trust between the Army individuals. Second the trust between The Army and The American people.
First the trust between The Army individuals which divided into five branches.
1. The trust between the leaders themselves.
2. The trust between the leaders and the subordinates.
3. The trust between the subordinates and the leaders.
4. The trust between the subordinates themselves.
5. The trust between the soldiers and their weapons.
In my point of view, Trust originates from The loyalty to homeland when the American citizen

We can say that trust is the most important characteristic in The Army profession characteristics, the most powerful, strongest Army based on courage, sacrifice, donor and love. Must has trust between their individuals, each one trust in the other that he has the same aim, the same purpose, the same ethics. And makes his work in a perfect way without anyone watches him.

Trust between the leaders and the subordinates. Leaders trust in the subordinates who have the same loyalty, love, and doctrine to the country. So when leaders give missions to them they do it in a perfect manner.
Also, the subordinates have the same trust in their leaders who take the right

Finally I defend that the trust is the important and the essential characteristic in the army professions, if it doesn`t found will mean collapse, corruption untrusted, weakness, hesitation, in all the levels of the army and will make destruction to the nation.
Other students choose “Military Expertise” I disagree with them, because may be you have good experience, weapon, trained soldiers, but if you has all this and don’t have trust these things are useless because no one has the trust that the decision taken is the perfect decision ,no one have the trust in his weapon which is the more technologist more powerful weapon ,also if the American people don’t have the trust in the army they don’t stand behind and strengthen the army and you don’t see a lot of American people join The
Building trust takes time and the commander must earn it. It is a product of Army values and leading consistently with the Army leadership principles. Commanders earn trust or lose it through daily actions; thus, soldiers need to see their commanders upholding professionalism, integrity, and setting examples . Upon arriving at Hue, COL Hughes encouraged his commanders to do what they felt was needed to remove the communist troops from the city. Giving such authority to his commanders was a great step of trust that ultimately led to taking the city of Hue from the enemy.
This paper will not bore with the definition of a profession. The United States Army is about more than words, it is about action. The action of over 238 years of tradition and service. The Army is a profession. A profession requires its members to adhere to prolonged training and learn specialized skills. A member of a profession must wholly commit himself and his skills to a calling which is entrusted by the public. A profession provides its members with intrinsic value which motivates beyond financial gain. The Army is a higher calling which demands all of these qualities and more.
This military is built upon a foundation of loyalty and trust, as one man must be able to trust his fellow soldiers with his life. Bravery is another key component in this military, any man is willing to risk his own life to save the lives of his comrades. The way these values
The Army leader should have identifiable features that soldiers can benefit from. This is how an Army leader must be. He or she should have knowledge in tactics and techniques that show that they can manage resources and organize. All of this entails what an Army leader knows. And the actions that birth the feelings in other soldiers to want to operate in the same manner of that leader is the do.
A profession must have the trust of the people it serves. This is gained through the use of an Ethic that is generated and policed by the profession itself. The Center for Army Profes...
Webster’s dictionary defines the word profession as a type of job that requires special education, training, or skill. Many Soldiers would not consider the Army as a profession but a way of life. Some think the word profession belongs to everyday jobs like a plumber, mechanic, or doctor. Dr. Don M. Snider stated “the Army is a profession because of the expert work it produces, because the people in the Army develop themselves to be professionals, and because the Army certifies them as such” (Snider, D. M. 2008). In October 2010, the Secretary of the Army directed the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) to lead an Army wide assessment of the state of the Army Profession. We have been at war as a Country for over a decade and the Army wanted to know how to shape the future of the Army as a profession and the effects the past decade had on our profession.
In an Army unit, where every individual must be willing to trust someone next to them, even with their life, the ability to do what is right at all times is a necessity. Without integrity, an Army unit will cease to function in a cohesive manner. How can any soldier be willing to look at a fellow soldier and trust they will help them in a time of need if the simple task of doing what is right is left out? At the same time, what is right? Can an amb...

The most effective commanders through their leadership build cohesive teams. Mutual trust, shared understanding, and accepting prudent risk serve as just a few principles for mission command. Mutual trust is the foundation of any successful professional relationship that a commander shares with his staff and subordinates. The shared understanding of an operational environment functions, as the basis for the commander to effectively accomplish the mission. While my advice for the commander on what prudent risks to take may create more opportunities rather than accepting defeat. Incorporating the principles of mission command by building cohesive teams through mutual trust, fostering an environment of shared understanding, and accepting prudent risk will make me an effective adviser to the commander, aid the staff during the operations process, and provide an example for Soldiers to emulate.
Soldiers rely on each other’s backs, no matter what. Loyalty creates a strong sense of unity and support within a military unit, making them a formidable

Being loyal is one of the most important values of the Army.... ... middle of paper ... ... If each soldier takes the initiative to work just a little harder, we can accomplish the mission that much faster and to a better degree.
“A vision without action is merely a dream.” (Kevin Gates) The Army Profession Model is a great vision but if we do not fixed the basics in our upbringing of Soldiers then it will only be a dream. Imagine a panoramic view of an early morning sunrise over a military base. The sun is starting to burn off the morning dew. Formations of soldiers are starting to pop into the picture. Each soldier is in uniform dress sharp and moving as a single unit. Some formations are double timing moving out. Everyone has a purpose and stepping off to get to his or her next obstacle of the day. All Non-commissioned officers are enforcing nothing less than exceeded standards. Soldiers are toe to line in formations for inspection. Senior Non-commissioned
