The Pros And Cons Of Good Health

Having good health is not a promise, it mainly depends on what one does in a lifetime in regards to proper nutrition and care of the body systems. Notwithstanding the predisposed health disorders that one may genetically succumb to, lifestyles and vices/bad habits can greatly influence one’s existence of well versus ill health issues. Vices, that one develops over the course of a lifetime when in regards to ones health, such as addictive behaviors to illegal substances can be highly detrimental to one’s health.
Also, for the organs and systems that work in the body to function properly, one definitely cannot live long portions of a life succumbing to addictive behaviors. Mainly, due to disorders such as CHF, (congestive heart failure) and other cardiovascular disorders, HBP, (high blood pressure), and a host of other disorders. Similarly, a specific organ that can be compromised due to vices is the kidneys. One can damage this organ to the point where it completely loses it capabilities to function properly. Which, can lead to having a life where one has to have the job of the kidneys performed artificially, by machines. this procedure is termed dialysis.
Fortunately, in some cases, one wakes up before the kidneys are totally damaged and through adaptations to nutritional intake and adherence to advice from medical professionals the prognosis does not have to be grim. Conversely, aforementioned complications can cause one to philosophically assess the addictive behavior and the subsequent consequences when faced with having to make a life or death decision that has come as a result of past behaviors. Though, as, one will find stated in many books and readings of philosophy, “be aware that seeking deeper understanding and delving into the depths of more awareness, one may bring forth more questions than answers “.
