“The One Minute Manager” describes how people produce valuable results, and feel good about themselves, the organization and the other people with whom they work. The book one minute manager is all about managing skills of a person who may be a manager or a customer or a job worker. According to the young man who searches for a perfect manager, of all the managers he met, everyone fell into either of the 2 categories that is either an autocrat or a democrat. An autocrat concerns about his customers welfare even though his company tastes or experiences bad results. A democrat only concerns about his company and its results even though his customers suffer from bad results “Precisely,” said the manager.
“In order to be a good manager in most organizations, we have to catch some of your people doing things wrong. We have to have a few winners, a few losers, and everyone else somewhere in the middle. Intially the young man goes to an experienced manager and knows about one minute manager but he did not believe that one minute manager is possible. But after some time after meeting the managers the young man got convinced and started believing both one minute manager and also one minute management.

... Reaffirm that you think well of them but not of their performance in this situation. Realize that when the reprimand is over, it’s over. The young man may not have believed in the effectiveness of the One Minute
Reprimand if he hadn’t personally experienced its effect. There was no doubt that he felt uncomfortable. And he did not want to experience it again.
However, he knew that everyone made mistakes now and then, and that he might very well receive another reprimand some day. But he knew if it came from the One Minute
Manager, that it would be fair; that it would be a comment on his behavior and not on his worth as a person.
As he headed toward the One Minute Manager’s office, he kept thinking about the simplicity of One Minute Management.
Therefore all three of the secrets made sense One Minute Goals, One Minute Praisings, and One Minute Reprimands.

One of the main objectives of an organization is to beat its counter part in our possible way. In order for an organization to insure that they must be good at leading, planning, organizing and controlling their resources and materials to accomplish performance objectives. In other words management. There are four main types of management, Classical, Behavioural, Quantitative and now the Modern Approach to Management. The Modern Approach states that there is no one good way of management. A successful organization utilizes all the types of management. A good example of this is the movie Lean on Me, starring Morgan Freeman as Joe Clark, the protagonist of the movie. Joe is a very talented teacher, who takes a lot of pride in his work, but due to certain events (budget cuts), he has to make some very key decisions upon his future at East Side High, New Jersey. After the resignation of Joe Clark, things go back to worse at East Side High, so after 20 years Joe is once again called upon to take the duty of the principal of this once great school. His goal was to accomplish a 75% average on the state's basic skills test. This goal might be easy at any school, but then again East Side High was not just another school. The previous year the score was 33%. The school was filled with drug dealer, crime, graffiti and other things. Therefore it required a miracle to increase the school's literacy average by approximately 40%.
Mr. Nardelli views management as top-down, command and control style, appreciated by efficiency managers, but criticized by many. He especially focused on process controls and metrics (including cost and quality). He also borrowed many management principles from the military and especially hired managers, who served in the military (Nussbaum, 2007). Nardelli worked hard to build a disciplined team (with order, high-pressure, and high standards) (Grow 2006).
However even it was a mistake he is still loyal because everybody is capable of human error. “Loyalty,or trustworthiness, actually underlines every action and thought of the hero; he is the particular man he is because his strong sense of duty compelled him to do what was most needed at the time”

Overall the “One Minute Manager” concept seems like a dynamic way to keep employees happy and content in their jobs. In my opinion, I think the theory appears too good to be true. I am skeptical because managers would need to struggle with changing their current behavior. I think for me to be convinced that this would work in the real life of business, I would need to experience it first hand.
A kid purposely knocks over a garbage can, then he receives a white ticket. Then another kid receives multiple white tickets, but then disregards the rules entirely, and goofs off in the lunch period. How can the administration change the rules so that you would get a bigger consequence for a greater action that disrespects the Warrior
In my opinion, there are some managerial roles that a manager needs to follow to become successful in the company. Depending on organizations these managerial roles changes and to be successful in business, every organization must assign right person for managerial roles. Finding a right person to a particular managerial role is really hard to do but there is another factor that we can consider here, which is the managerial skills. Managerial skills help a person to perform the managerial roles effectively. So by evaluating a person’s managerial skills we can identify whether he is suitable for particular managerial job or not. There is a company called Tata group, which is one of India’s biggest company, follows certain procedures which is called the Tata way, for dealing managers which includes hiring, training and assigning efficiently and effectively. This is reason why managerial job in the Tata group became my favorite job. This paper examines how this unique procedure for dealing managers make the Tata group successive and how can the study of organizational behavior help to replicate it and maybe even improve it.
