The New Baby Sitter - Personal Narrative
We liked the new babysitter; that was clear from the moment we opened
the door. She had long brown hair, a big smile and rosy red lips. She
was holding her long denim coat and a small basket filled up with
sweets. We said, "goodbye" to Mum and Dad, they were going to a
wedding and had seen our new babysitter advertised in the local
newspaper.

I shut the front door and then walked into the living room to see what
my brother Daniel and my sister Chloe were doing. Daniel was sitting
on the floor playing a game on the Playstation and Chloe was sitting
at the dining room table reading a revision book. I sat down on the
settee and started talking to our new babysitter, she seemed very
friendly. I found out that her name was Megan and that she was a
teacher in Holtsmere End Junior school. She had a boyfriend called
Mark and a rabbit named floppity, who was just 1 year old. Megan
handed me a sweet; she then told us that we had to be in bed by 8
o'clock, even though our parents were due back at 3 o'clock the next
morning.
======================================================================
We all stopped what we were doing and sat down in front of the t.v,
Megan put on a video, which lasted about 2 hours so after that we were
meant to go to bed, but instead we played a game of Boggle. The time
passed by and soon it was 12 o'clock. Megan insisted that we got into
bed, but instead we all wanted to have an adventure. Megan moaned and
said it was babyish, but our dog Pepe still had to go for his late
night walkies, so we all went for a walk out into the woods.
======================================================================
Obviously Chloe was scared because she was the youngest, so we all had
to comfort her. The woods were very dark and spooky so we all decided
to stay together, that is, me Megan and Chloe, because Daniel thought
to bed. She was fussing the whole time but I heard none of it; I just
one by one, we all piled in to the living room and thankfully my mom
The origin or rather the first collection of The Babysitter and the Man Upstairs was in the early 1960s and this legend continues to be told today. The legend’s emergence and specific origins are unknown; however, attempting to understand why such a legend was told to begin with is not an impossible task. The Babysitter and the Man Upstairs reflects societal anxiety about young girls increasing rejection of feminine expectations and reinforces ideas about traditional gender roles, through the characters, their actions, and the consequences of such actions.
Do you remember when you were a kid and you never wanted to go to sleep ? well I do and I learned my lesson. It all started when I was at my grandpas house and i was spending the night. I didn't know what to do so i made up the game
I turned around and followed my family to our car. What a day I had had.
After growing up, facing responsibilities, and becoming a father, I know that others wouldn’t understand the life I live now. Before my son, I had time to hang out all day and night around my neighborhood with my friends. Although I miss hanging out with no worries and responsibilities, I love being a father to my son. Growing up I considered Derrick as my brother although we weren’t related, we did everything together. I looked up to Derrick, he always had everything “under control”, even down to the girls he messed around with. However I wasn’t jealous; I was only proud of my brother, he was showing me how to be a responsible man, well at least I thought so.
Child care is a rewarding and yet demanding career. These demands come from an abundance of sources: consistent changes to rules and regulations, requests from parents, and the forever evolving needs of a child in your care. Not only should these demands help solidify you as a growing early childhood professional, there are also plenty of other demands that can significantly affect your career choice. These include educational levels, levels of hands-on training, personal interests, family obligations, values, abilities, and your individual professional priorities.
Since I have came into foster care in 2008 because of neglection, life has been tough at times. In my first foster home, I was so angry at my dad. I took it out on my foster mom; eventually I had to leave. When I arrived at my second home everything seemed fine. In the next few months, things went down hill from there. That was when I found out that my two baby sisters had been adopted, and I wanted to get adopted too. I was 10 years old at the time. I was being beaten by my foster mom, and not being feed. I spent almost a year there. Finally I told my social worker. I got moved to yet another home in Cherryville. I acted so terribly that I stayed there for three weeks. I went to another home to wait for a placement in a PRTF. I lived in the
I first became a mother on a very hot day in North Carolina on August 2008, to a 9 lb. 7 oz. girl. We moved to Texas when she was 7 months old and have lived here ever since; except the 6 months we lived in Canada during the winter. It was a great experience living there but it made me very grateful for Texas winters.
She had short, dark brown hair and looked like a delicate flower in bloom. Her laugh made you want to smile every time you heard it. She was filled with happiness, joy and innocence surrounded her. But sadly her innocence had been taken. She already knew pain and abuse way too early.
Becoming a mother has been the best part of my life. I became a mother at a very young age. I had no idea what to expect and was not in the least prepared for the journey that lie ahead. I have truly embraced motherhood and enjoy all the wonderful things it has taught me. While living through motherhood, I have found that it can teach you the most valuable lessons there are to learn. Being a mother has taught me how to have patience. I have also learned that being a mother takes a lot on mental and physical strength. My children have been the best to teach me how to juggle many tasks at once. They have made me strong. Even through some unexpected turns, I have learned how to get through hard times and really learn what it means to never give up. My children are my biggest blessing, and I hope they will learn valuable lessons through me. The skills I have learned from being a mother have helped me in my college journey.
She was beautiful. Her perfect piggy tales hung down over her lacy pink dress she wore perfectly. She was like the girls you see in the ads for toys. Trying not to stare I looked out if the window not noticing her eyes on me. I looked at her questioningly.
A few minutes later, my mom woke me up and we went into a room. There
