“A romantic film is a love story recorded in visual media for broadcast in theaters and on TV that focus on passion, emotion, and the affectionate, romantic involvement of the main characters and the journey that they genuinely strong, true and pure romantic love take them through dating” (Dictionary). Romantic films tell the story of two unlikely characters who meet and fall in love. They show the struggles in the relationship, as well as the pain both characters go through. As the film continues, the characters are torn apart, and soon come to the realization of how much they truly love each other as they search for a way to get back together. In the beginning she’s a rebellious 17 year old, but soon changes her ways when she meets the boy of her dreams, Will Blakelee. According to Nicholas Sparks, he came up with the idea of his book from his past book. He’s always written about the tragedy in life and love at first sight, what he hasn’t done is taken that love and used it with teens around the age of sixteen. Sparks said, “Usually, after those words pop into my head, I move into a process of elimination by asking myself what I’ve done recently. Cyrus was a huge fan of A Walk to Remember, after speaking with Cyrus, the idea of the film was created.
