For this assignment, I watched “Jane Goodall on Instinct.” Nicole Starosielski describes animation as having “the potential to depict imperceptible, indeterminate and interactive environments.” That is what made this animation so brilliant. Truthfully I have always been very fascinated by Jane Goodall and her work, but there isn’t a way, other than animation, to put the feel of what she was going through on the screen. It is her history. You could put an actor in her shoes and tell us that this is Jane Goodall, and this is what she did, but it wouldn’t ring as true. They didn’t plop Gwyneth Paltrow down in Africa and try to convince us that she was Jane Goodall, but drew Jane Goodall and tried the same. To me, as a fanatic of animation,
