Worship is very important to God. Worship shows how much you adore, love and reverence the spirit of God. Most people take worship out of context. They think that worship is not important to God. But worship is something that God cherishes the most. Why does he cherish it the most? Because your worship comes from your heart. And if worship is coming from your heart, then worship must show how much you love God. If worship is showing how much you love God, then God must cherish worship since he cherishes love more than faith and hope. (1st Corinthians 13:13)
St. Luke 7:36 38. “And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.” In this passage of scripture, we find that Jesus has been invited to dine at a Pharisee house. Now there was a woman who was a sinner that heard that Jesus was going to be in town. So the bible tells us that she brought an alabaster box with her. The Gospel According to Mark 14 v.3 actually tells and explains to us what was in the box and how expensive this alabaster box was. If we look to the gist of the scripture, this woman had to have been a woman who used this box for her lustful desires. This was a woman who used this expensive jar to lure or subdue men to have sexual intercourse with her. Just like the woman in Proverbs chapter 7 who lured a man with a kiss and also with a sweet arom...

...ws how the enemy is trying to take over the music ministry.
This can no longer happen in the kingdom of God. Music is something that God loves to hear. “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye lands” Psalms 100:1. He love’s to hear people singing and worshipping him. But if your heart isn’t right ( 1 Corinthians 13:1-3) and you’re doing things unto the glory of the devil, then God rejects you and your worship. And if we aren’t careful, we will find ourselves worshipping the devil through music and not even know. The truth is, the secular world isn't too enamored with Jesus. And they're not too enamored with someone who is leading people to Jesus. So if you're out there talking about people's sins, and you're talking about righteousness, you will get pushback. Jesus Himself did. The apostles did. I mean, there's persecution all up and down the line. (Pat Robinson).
Many composers and artists have been branded by religious organisations as being in league with the devil, from the banning of songs, performers and even chords and movements by the church to the present day right wing Christian ‘preachers’ of YouTube.
Gospel songs combined religious lyrics with melodies and rhythms inspired by early blues and jazz. Many churches rejected this new integration of religious conviction and popular song as devil's music that had no place in a house of worship.
...ould be liars (verse 15). Jesus revealed himself to Mary Magdalene and other women. During Biblical times, women were seen as second class citizens. Nonetheless, Jesus honored women because they were the first to see him after his resurrection. Verse 17 states, no one would be free from sin if Christ had not been raised from the dead. All past believers are dead (verse 18) and Christians would be the most pitiable people on the earth.
The philosophers Kant and Aristotle both have their own theories on the source of virtuous action. Aristotle believes that the moral worth of an action lies in the agent's intent whereas Kant believes that if one's will is determined by inclination, neither does that individual have a good will nor does the action have any moral worth. Thus, in order for an action to have moral worth, according to Kant, one's will must be determined by categorical imperatives. Once this condition is satisfied, that person can be said to have a good will and the resulting action can potentially have moral worth. Kant and Aristotle's theories on the source of virtuous actions are highly similar as they both believe that intent is a crucial component of virtuous
Prior to reading this book I have to be honest and say that I had some false conceptions about worship. That sounds kind of scary to say but, through this booked I learned again and at a deeper level the importance of living in communion with God.
• Does your worship build the Christian character of the individual and invite them into the community of Christianity?

meal. He knew that it was now time for him to return to his father.
“Human beings are made for worship. Everyone worships someone or something” (Calhoun 2005). The above statement is so true. Some people worship money, themselves, other people or pagan Gods. As for me I worship God the Almighty Father of Heaven and Earth. “True worship of God happens when we put God first in our lives” (Calhoun 2005). Worship isn’t just singing at the beginning of a church service on Sunday. Worship is a daily surrender where we put God first in everything such as our marriage, work life, friendships, family, money, and lifestyle. Worship is where we totally surrender and trust God with everything in our lives.
The life Jesus lived was a perfect pattern to be followed. He worshipped God in word and deed. And in every way lived a life that pleased God the Father. He was one with God, obedient to God, loved others perfectly, and became a literal sacrifice on the cross.
You cannot believe in God until you believe in yourself. -- Swami Vivekananda "I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live as if there isn't and to die to find out that there is." -- Albert Camus In this essay, I will explore the religious experience in general and some of its variations around the world. The focus will be on the types of religious beliefs and religious leaders, especially in small-scale societies. An exploration of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, or any other major religion is beyond the scope of this essay.
“Our work for Christ is to begin with the family, in the home ... There is no missionary field more important than this.”
Ideologies creates a sense of community, purpose and order. Similarly, I find that my religion provides me with the conceptual frameworks in which to ground my life. My life revolves around my Islamic commitments, even school and work is set around my Islamic timetable. So to me, Islam is not just about praying, fasting and so on. Yet, it’s also about my moral conduct, the education that I seek and my worldly actions. Growing up in a community that practices an Islamic lifestyle and culture has convinced me that Islam is one of the exceptional religions which stress the development of the positive moral and ethical. I was taught to live peacefully, help each other and also tolerate with other religions. Not only that, Islam also governs all facets of my life such as moral, spiritual, physical, intellectual, social and economic via the Quran and the Hadith. I also learnt the true values of my faith which is Islam is not only for the Muslim world, it is to be practiced wherever I am.
More people are there for the actual sermon I feel, because a lot of people don’t understand true praise and worship. What I have come to learn is Praise and worship, is a cleansing and realization of self, and what God has done for you and is not intended to be a “feel good” experience. This is a perfect example of how some worship experiences have been dumbed down to appease the masses. The worship experience should open our minds. It ought to go against the “character” offf a culture that takes for granted God and praise. Praise and worship is a different kind of relationship, which exists between man and God, a relationship of complete adoration and praise. Far too often, in this emerging new culture, we want to treat God as friend, and not as creator and sustainer. Humans are flawed fleshly beings, therefore whenever in the true presence of God a transformation from old to new should occur. We should feel so convicted about our transgressions until we have an earnest desire to change. The flesh dies and slowly loses control of our lives, leaving the Holy Spirit to
