Hard elements can be more easily identified through observation, research and measurement. This observation may be adopted by strategy reports, plans or other documents related to the business process of the organization (Hill, 2012). Hard factors are considered as follows:
Strategy: a plan in place to maintain and establish competitive advantages compared with competitors and boost relationship with clients (Daniell, 2004). Business strategy has to be adaptable to the changing environment, including internal and external environment of the enterprise. Shared value is placed in the middle position of the model, which emphasizes that these values are central to the growth of all other important remaining elements of the company (Kannan, 2013). All factors are rooted from the reason why organizations were originally created as well as the contents that it represents. The company’s first vision was established from the founder’s values. When shared values is made different, it is likely that all other factors are changing. For a high performance organization, seven elements must be linked and mutually supportive. Therefore, the model can be adopted to determine what is in need of being reordered to enhance performance or to keep the arrangement and implementation of these types of changes, such as restructuring, new processes, organizational merger or change of leadership. From the analysis of the content of 7S model, it is clear that the contents above are located on the inside of the business. Each content analysis are revealed through the strengths and weaknesses of the specific businesses that are accessed through SWOT, thereby offering reasonable solutions to act. It is useful for businesses to analyze, build and implement their strategic plans. On the other hand, when using the model 7S, it can help to improve the performance of the business, examine the effects when there is a change in the future of the business and at the same time it is also the best method to determine and carry out strategies. This is why 7S model is used to support the transform from strategic plans into concrete actions.
