Sports are in everyday lives. Mostly everyone on earth plays a certain sport, but what most people do not know is that they can gain certain aspects of education from playing. Most professors attribute to this concept and provide information on further detail. Students tend to excel in learning and apply material while doing sports. Sports create a successful future and a higher education by teaching students to challenge themselves, be social, and think cognitively while being competitive. Most students need a push that drives them to excel in school. Sports help by teaching them to take risks and challenge themselves to reach a certain goal. People change for the better with the help of sports. For example, a former N.F.L player, Donte Stallworth, wrote an article, "School Sports Provide lessons in How to Live," providing his past life on how sports helped him succeed in life. Sports can help kids that do not have benefits such as, being social, gaining leadership, or to even get a high-ranking job. In an article by a professor, Kevin Kniffin, named "High School Athletes Gain Lifetime Benefits," explains that students who indulge in sports tend to have better social, and economic benefits in the future. He exclaims that students will gain knowledge about social inquiries such as, "self-confidence, self-respect, and leadership; actual measurements of behavior in a sample of people who had graduated from high school more than five decades earlier showed those expectations proved accurate" (Kniffin). Sports show students how to be social and gain benefits to compete for a high paying job. Most students prefer having money and luxury, but not all will get that far.
