Early childhood education is important to develop young children’s mind and create logical thinkers. Young children need early childhood educators to peak their interest in the world around them. The future of childhood education is gleaming. I believe educators need to have a keen sense of detecting problems and issues with young children’s learning abilities. Developmentally Appropriate Practice and a set of principles about how to teach young children that are based on an understanding of child development and a familiarity with the cultural context within which each child is being raised are the two central concepts in the field of early childhood education. Professionalism in early childhood education is noted by the criteria such as code of ethics, the existence of professional organizations, and reflective teaching. Teacher shortage, low pay, burnout, and scarcity of men in the field are some of the problems early childhood education programs are facing today. Observation is one of the best ways for educators to use to understand their students. There are different of ways of observing. Running records, ABC analysis, time sampling and event sampling are some of the different ways of writing down what behavior is observe. The educator should observe without interfering unless it is required. Observation should be objective and adequately descriptive. A teacher should be impartial as possible and stand back and record what is being displayed rather than thinking of feeling one think the child is exhibiting.
